Welcome aboard Amtrak, baby!
Welcome to the world. With a entry like that, she’s destined be a rail fan.
Great Story! Congrats to Mom and Dad Stokes! Reminds me of a policeman I knew in my home town as a boy in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, PA many years ago. He used to tell the story of how he was born on a train in route from somewhere in the East to Pittsburgh. What did his Mom name him? Altoona, of course! His birth place!
Do you suppose Amtrak protected their revenue by making the baby buy a ticket? No, I’m not serious.
Babies and infants under two ride free. At least the baby gets a free ride. https://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer?c=Page&pagename=am%2FLayout&cid=1241337896140
Nice story! Maybe Amtrak could offer Trinity a pass for future rail travel?
Prosecute the mama for smuggling on a stow away
it remained me about a time on the Californian Zephyr, before Amtrak took over. he was later got a free train ride on his eight birthday, with his whole class too.
Guess my comment was censored. Sorry. Never know who is on the censorship duty in Progressive Wisconsin. I meant no offense, whatever I said. BTW, I was born on a CNJ train in Plainfield, NJ. I also have a bridge for sale in NY City.
I find it dishearteningly amazing that no one would give up a coat or sweatshirt to wrap the baby in. Paper towels and hot dog wrappers? Come on people, stop thinking about yourselves for once and help someone.
Hays - the follow up comment of yours that didn’t get censored is inflammatory enough, though probably more subtle. I can only imagine, based on your comment history here, what the former might have been. It might interest you to know that we here in Wisconsin are immeasurably sad at the decimated condition of our once- proud progressive state.
Vamoose, troll.
