Has the West Coast Express between Mission & Vancouver been as successful as GO Transit in Toronto[?]
The West Coast Express has been a great success.
One of the problems with the service in fact, is that there isn’t enough parking at a lot of the stations for everyone that wants to park and take the train into Vancouver.

has lots of great info
That doesn’t mean it’s been as successful as GO Transit…
I don’t think it is possible to answer the question. It is like comparing apples and oranges. The geographical landscape of Toronto and Vancouver are completely different. Whereas the flat landscape of Toronto and existing rail infrastructure has allowed for a network of commuter lines to enter the city, Vancouver’s hilly geography means there a very few available rail lines available that you can reasonablly run commuter trains along. As a result the West Coast Express remains a single line operation while GO Transit has numerous different lines.
However, if running full trains is a sign of success then the West Coast Express is successful. Like I said though difficult to say whether that makes it as successful but definately successful.
