West Virginia scanner frequencies help?

Can someone tell me the scanner frequencies for Norfolk Southern on the Pocahontas line and the CSX line in the New River Gorge in West Virginia? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Jay

Search for “railroad frequencies west virginia” and you’ll find plenty of answers.

That’s the problem, I did do a search and came up with way too many choices! I saved a couple of screen shots and will start trying them to see what I can get when I get there. After a certain point I won’t have signal so there won’t be any searching the web. I wish I had written down all the ones I had in my old scanner before it died and I wouldn’t be having this problem…

Pocahantas Division shows four frequencies, depending on district, plus frequencies for the various yards.

I don’t know which Division the New River line falls under, but CSX road in WV appears to be 160.230, although the dispatcher channels vary by location.

If you’ve got a 100 channel scanner, you shouldn’t have a problem putting virtually everything on the Radioreference WV page in it - you can always lock out an undesired channel.

I ended up using the 160.230 for CSX and 160.650 for Northfolk Southern and they seemed to work fine. Thank you for the help, I appreciate it!
