I’m new to this hobby and I’m modeling the Old West. Does anyone have a decent source for Western figures, Cowboys etc ? Thanks, Marty

Google up Musket Miniatures

Airfix does several lines of Old West appropriate HO scale miniatures: cowboys, Indians, cavalry, wagon trains. Technically they are closer to 1:72 or 1:76 scale and thus a little bit large for HO, but often HO scale “old west” equipment is a bit too large anyhow, and generally the difference in size isn’t generally noticeable.

I’m using Musket Miniatures mostly, but have a bunch of Airfix and a few Bachman as well. You can also get a bunch of hats and convert other periods. You can get 6 hats for around $3.
