Western where is it 3/3/06

I have to guess it’s downton Reno?

Not Reno

Jack London SQ Oakland [:)]

I want to say Oakland as well.

Not too many other places on the SP with a signal bridge spanning the street. I’d have to say Jack London Square, too.

Yes, it is Jack London Square, Oakland,Ca. taken in 85’.
Good Job RJ & Clemente.
Spbed,Go away troll

Can you guys name this yard. This is the very first train picture I ever took. It was with a instamatic I got for my 10th birthday. So you’ll have to excuse the quality, or lack there of.

Darn, one even a Midwesterner like me could get and someone already got it.
[:p]
Guess I need to be quicker next time or get out west.

Western Wyoming, like maybe Green River or Rock Springs?

Southern Pacific’s Bayshore Yard in South San Francisco, California.

Jimmy B

Sorry Kenneo, not Rock Springs or Green River to my recollection.

I honestly have no clue where that is.

Doesn’t look like Helper, Utah, to me, but it could be. I don’t think the hills are quite high enough to be Helper, but as you just showed us, I have been wrong before.

The only other place that has a large yard like this that I am aware of would be Grand Junction.

Looks like Bayshore Yard to me.

Andre

Jimmy, Andre, You guys are right. It’s Bayshore yard in South San Francisco (Brisbane?) taken in 81’. The first train picture I ever took just after getting my first camera for my b-day, an instamatic. We were on a sightseeing trip with some visiting family and later that day we walked across the Golden Gate Bridge.
