Even a blind squirrel gets an acorn every now and then- the biggest clues were the letters on the roof, and the orientation of the landscape looking towards apparent west. I love the broad expanse shots like that one, it gives me and my atlas a chance.

I think you are refering to the Milwakee road bridge up river west of Othello. This bridge is the Oregon Trunk headding down into Oregon to Bend and beyond. The BNSF exSP&S main runs through here on the north side of the river.
It looked just like Wenatche. I spent 4 months commuting weekly from central California. I never did like the puddle jumper over the Cascades! One trip, the couple behind me on the plane was wearing thier “complementary beverage”! [:D]
