Here’s a shot from last weekend up along the Moffat. I was flying a little blind because the ATCS display was down and I didn’t have my scanner with me. I was hoping for an eastbound at this location. All I got was a westbound track inspector. Still, I think it made for a somewhat dramatic shot with the approaching weather. Snow would be falling at Crescent siding within an hour.
Ya know, though - we see dozens of pictures of trains. The other stuff that makes a railroad a railroad not so much. I rather like it. Kind of a “human interest” shot.
At this time of year, I would have guessed there would have been some snow at that elevation, at least in the shadows. Has it been a bad snow year? (I’m heading out to CO in a couple of weeks for a ski trip)
