What are the "formal names" for the colors in your favorite RR paint scheme(s)

The other day I was talking with a non-railfan friend and he asked what color UP locomotives were. I said, I think that they’re Armour Yellow and Harbor Mist Gray. He found it odd that I didn’t just say yellow and gray. Seems to me that would have just been wrong.

Anybody else care to contribute the formal color names of their favorite road?
ie.
BN Cascade Green
GN Glacier Green and Omaha Orange
CNW’s Zito Yellow (ughhhh!!!)
etc.

What was SP’s bloody nose color names (beside just red and gray…?)

New Haven colors:

More or less turn of the century to 1954:

#13 NH Pullman Green
#292 Warm Orange
#212 Hunter Green
#44 Dulux Gold
#xx Pearl Gray (forgot number)

More or less 1954 on:

#401 Exterior Green
#406 Red-Orange
#409 Red-Orange
#428 Red-Orange
#xx Pearl Gray (forgot number)
#xx Imitation Gold (forgot number)

There were more - but those are most common and off the top of my head.

SP’s bloody nose colors are Scarlet and Dark grey.
Probably the most popular for SP was the “Black Widow” scheme:
generally black car body, red stripe at the bottom and a silver and orange nose.

Beaver, or Golden Rodent if you prefer.
I rpefer the Multimark scheme to that, though…and the Tuscan Red and Gray…whatever that was called…
