I thought this may help some of us understand what our wives do when we are model railroading.
Robin sews , quilts , works the shop , scrapbooks , and this weekend she is repainting her doll house.

She likes to accompany me on my hunting trips (or my armed camping expeditions as she refers to them) so she can photograph the wild life. She also LOVES the Seattle Mariners, cooking/baking, and training dogs.
I WOULD know, if I could see the future. I still have 3 years before I can even get legally married…

My wife enjoys writing, photography, and exploring back roads - well the map says that they are roads…
The Minnesota Vikings, spending my money and taking care of our Grand-daughter.
Tami likes to garden and ‘scrapbook’. I like to garden and model railroading. The gardening is what we do ‘together’ for hobbies; we each have our other passions(scrapbooking or model railroading).

Good topic. We can’t get into much disagreement with this one unless someone works overtime on it.
Joyce, my wife of 31 years, does help on the layout, but it is not her hobby. She does some scenery work, makes trees, suggestions, helps keep the area clean, but she is more interested in working with kids through our church, our grand children and great grand children, gardening (she really shines on our garden railroad), hostessing when I am on tour or have a group over. She also does crafts. Just a pretty good ole girl!!

Audrey spent years fighting a crippling illness with weaving and painting—now that she can walk again—she has also discovered the joys of getting lost on alledgedly paved roads and doing what we called —shunpiking. She still does that as well as primitive folk art things—

Her other hobby revolved around sporting events, she’ll take tickets to any St Louis Cardinals, KC Chiefs, Colorado Avalanche, or various college football games along with any NASCAR event!

working out at the gym along with classes of an aerobic nature called ZUMBA. Tending to her many perennial gardens which include probably 847000 varieties of daylillies. Collecting German Christmas ornaments ( which by now number in the hundreds. Enough so that our house sports 3 trees every holiday season.) She also has begun an interest in exploring the bays of the Delmarva peninsula via kiak. She enjoys lighthouses and is a member of A.C.T. (Assateague Coastal Trust. An organization that helps preserve the coastal bays around Ocean City, Md.)

In this order. Spend money, Make the dog so fat she needs help going up the stairs, puzzles, spend more money, tanning, spending money, shopping(its like a sport), and telling me about her day.

Mine paints and writes science fiction, and she enjoys gardening.
She’s on her third full book (none published as yet), and as to the painting, she’s pretty good at landscapes, so she’ll be doing my backdrop when the room is finally finished.
She also is enthusiastic about making trees, so I’ll get her involved in that activity when the time comes around.
I’m lucky, she thinks the hobby is cool, and she’s supportive of my other interests also.
My wife enjoys ATVing and fishing like I do but her real passion is for softball, she plays 3 days a week for 3 different teams. She also enjoys working out at the gym, watching hockey and watching her favorite NFL team, the Tennessee Titans every week.
