What can you tell me about a BLI C30-7 ?

I posted this on another forum and haven’t gotten much in the way of responses so I thought I’d try here too:

I’ve never owned or run a BLI diesel, or even seen one in person before for that matter but I’m considering one of their C30-7s now. Those of you that have had experience with them how are they? Do they well? Is the sound and detail decent on them? Are there any issues with them? Is it worth paying around $115.00 for one? THe only reviews I’ve been able to find online were from around 2004 - 2005 and they said the sound on it sounded more like a EMD than a GE. I wonder if they’ve improved the sound since then.
Thanks, John

I cannot comment on the C30-7.

I have the PCM EMD F3 and the refurbished Broadway EMD F7 DC only that run very well. Nice detail. The F3 came with the EMD LokSound.

The F7, I am putting in Tsunami EMD decoders.

BLI usually installs their own sound decoders so I cannot comment on sounds. Go to the Broadway site and look around and join the Broadway forum and ask there.

I do see at the BLI site a lot of EMD so maybe they are doing that with the C30-7. Just a WAG.

My PCM/BLI NYC F3 has two headlights, The upper is a MARS. NYC did not have two lights. The F7 is a single light. I think BLI bends the rules sometimes.

Be advised, the Blueline now come with sound and no motor decoder. You install your own decoder of choice.

According to the Broadway forum, the decoders are BLI designed and made.
