What can your TrackMobile do for YOU!

I know this is the model train forum, but I ran across this vid and just had to share it here.

I had no idea! Enjoy!

PS-The hand held remote is TOO COOL!!!

Can pull 50 cars? Pretty cool video.

This picture I took shows one of those little thingees hiding under the overhang in the far right of the elevator. I’m not sure who owns it–whether the port of Goderich does or who but there we be. And yes it will do 50 cars—

Hey Lothar, that video was pretty cool.

As you probably know Factory Direct Trains sold them and may still do so. It came in both DC and DCC versions I picked one up as an oddity just to have.

I first ran it when I was installing my reverse loops and smoked the decoder. I told FDT what happened and they repaired it at no charge. I never gave it a real work out on the layout so I can’t report how it does in HO. The prototype gets it’s tractive power by lifting up on the car it connects to putting the weight on it’s drivers.

Thanks for posting.

Nice link. Now that’s what i need for my commute to work! Drive to the rails, hop on and get back off when I reach the shop! Very cool[8D] J.R.

Thanks for the link, very interesting vid.

Wolfgang

They’ve come a long way since the original ones.

The FDTs didn;t do too bad. 6 cars was about the limit on mine, not unreasonable for the prototype.

Wha can my TrackMobile do for me? I haven’t the foggiest. Teh NCE decoder comes with NO instructions, and I haven’t a vclue wjere to hook up the directional lighiting I want to put in (head and brakelights) It says it’ll do it in the book, but no pictures.

Does it have wires? White is front light and yellow is rear light, with blue common (positive).

–Randy

When they make one that also mows the grass, we’ll talk…

[:P]

John

Well, there seems to be adequate room underneath for a mower deck… [:D]

–Randy

Nope, no wires. I’ll get a ic of the decoder

Wow, thats cool. I never knew much about it until now.

There was an article in a past MR on how to add lights.
