I have to go with other because it covers a lot of things I dread doing… About all I don’t mind doing once in a while is cleaning track and oiling locos because I have them down to an art now.

Decaling and assembling complex structures. Really hard to get the hang of either.
Scenery. I hate scenery
I can do the wiring, the modeling, the weathering, the structures, but i hate scenery.
Getting elevations right. I have more trouble with that part of trackwork than anything else.

I voted “other” because I really hate just having cleaned my track and waking up the next day to 2" of pine needles all over it, 3 dead slugs, and a rabbit hole. Sometimes I don’t know why I bother…
Other: Working on locos with problems that shouldn’t be there, like bodies that don’t snap together as they should or gears that don’t mesh because of poor design, etc.
It’s things that are suppoed to go a certain way, but just don’t.
I dread seeing one more [censored]ing poll at the MR website.
2" of pine needles, John (tangerine-jack) you sound like me. It’s always a fight keeping my outdoor layout free of the needles. But I put up with it to be in the beautiful mountains of Colorado [;)]
Do you have a website of your layout, or pics? I’d love to see another line in the forest. There’s a link to my layout in my signature.
I voted bench as its the part that cost me up front
I did use 20 or 30 1x5 and still have a bunch
not to say its not going to cost for other things
I think Putting in scenery. is next
getting the locos was fun but that cost more than I ever emagend

Scenery, cause it means I’m at the point that no more big changes are allowed. Scenery sort of says, this is what you built, live with it!

Hey Aggro. Great looking cab forward you’ve got there!..

I love everything except Polls! (Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.) So I put “other” to use. See how useful “other” really is!!! [:D][:D][;)]
Polls
i dread seeing another off-topic post (or poll) i’ve never done scenery yet and i’m not real excited about it either- i don’t mind laying track or the doing benchwork ,don’t mind maintaing the fleet either (oiling loco’s)
I don’t have a web site for my layout yet, it is undergoing massive redesign plus all the other projects I have going on I don’t have time really to build a site. Why not come over to the Garden Railways web site and hang out there? Fewer useless posts and polls. In the mean time here’s a few shots of the old Dixie D Short Line:
OK smarty pants- try this on your HO layout! (failed attempt at killing a Dalek with a rocket propelled exterminator car.)
Thanks for the pics John. Nice setup.
I’ll check out the Garden Railroads Forum. And if you haven’t seen this one yet, http://www.mylargescale.com/forum/, it’s a great large scale forum.
I could say any of the above, all of the above or none of the above with approximately equal validity. Kinda like hanging catenary, which is anything from a superdetailing challenge to “Do I really have to do this?” depending on my mood of the moment.
Scenery
I dread having put all that effort into design, $$$$, benchwork, laying track, checking everything out and then screwing it all up with poor execution of the scenery work[banghead]
Dave
I hate sawing wood for the Benchwork. I am afraid I will cut something off. But once all the wood is cut I am a happy camper
James
T-jack, you have way too much time on your hands! [:o)]
Would love to have seen that. [8D]
