What do you think is the worst paint scheme?

Here’s my pick.

At least it never became a reality!

The blue warbonnet looks better than the pumpkin puke orange and stooo-pid “swoosh” logo their using now.

All that one needs is better lettering

These are pretty bad-

For me it has to be and I know I am going to be crucified for it but the UP’s Yellow and Grey. Any railroad they bought was assmilated they should be called the Borg RR instead.

Dale

I think he ment “Intentional” corporate paint jobs, not those “aided” [;)] by taggers or the guys in the paint shop “marking” [:0] company property.[8D]

I’ll give a vote for the engine that has no paint, just primer and some bad stenciling work.

CC

Did my previous post make any sense? Worst pant job=no paint job[%-)]? If you don’t have paint, then… ok, nevermind.

Any unit with a patch !!!

Penn Central

The RailAmerica scheme is pretty awful.

I don’t like any of BNSF’s schemes. The orange/green combo just makes me want to hurl. Yet, for some reason, the same colors on GN look OK. Go figure.

I’ll second that.

the BN green and black before the merger is without a doubt the worst in my opinion.

And that fast fading yellow on the C&NW.

Yeah UP yellow is gross. It can look neat and clean fresh but it’s SOOOOOO boring. The only big railroad left I have any fondness for is the NS.

I agree! Don’t even mind the lettering!

Mook

The NS ? What a paint scheme , kinda reminds one of the Penn central paint , no imagination whatsoever.

the vomit bonnet!!! yeah csx borrowed that unit a time or two.but really the paint I didnt like was the stealth scheme.
stay safe

Yeah shiney black isn’t the most creative, but it is attractive. And NS thorobred is a nice symbol.

Wow! and I thought the Kodachrome scheme was questionable…

I think we have a winner(!?) here.
