I found this pic and am wondering what is wronge with the light on the locomotive
Its off? What do you mean nothing is wrong with it.
What he is probably saying is the light is in the wrong place for that Gevo. The light is suppose to be above and not below.
I don’t know otherwise, why they did that since it comes out of the factory with the light mounted above. But maybe they built this locomotive with the light below like that.

There is nothing wrong with that light. They are manufactured like that. As per example the CN DC GEVO, The BNSF DC GEVO

[#ditto] traisessive 1 your right.It is the r.r.'s choice as to how they order their lights.Have you noticed how the NS has most of their engine’s front lights laying side to side instead of one on top of the other like most r.r.'s do ?
You will also notice the CN unit has rear ditchlights and the red end of train lights. CN’s SD70M-2’s have the side by side headlights as well.
It is all in the preference.
