Tough question. If it has to be only one, then I vote for the AMTRAK P-42 Genesis in the Phase III Scheme.

Ron, if you do a search on that question you will see around 200 post! Sure not the first time it has been asked!
My self, my PCM Y6b.

Same answer as usual:
Kiso Rintetsu 0-4-2T - 762mm gauge woodburner, rear tank, huge cyclone stack on a loco the size of a minivan.
(And you expected a diesel???!)
If you want to confine this to standard gauge, then, none. There aren’t any in Japan (Shinkansen runs all EMU - every axle powered.)
Chuck (Modeling Central Japan in September, 1964)
anything bearing the BN or SP&S roadname. [(-D]
My favorite locomotive is Northern Pacific’s A series 4-8-4 Northerns.
Ron, I asked this same question back on the 3rd of May, it is located here: http://cs.trains.com/mrr/f/88/t/217434.aspx?sort=ASC&pi314=1
(Zstripe, how do I make the URL above a link to that thread)?
NP2626,

Gidday NP2626. I just high light the URL, right click, copy and paste, and it’s “clickable” but I gather that doesn’t work for everyone.
When you paste the URL and it is in normal Black script, Click on the chain icon, 5th left on the bottom row of the toolbar and an insert link should appear on your screen, continue from there. My apologies if I’ve just made this as clear as mud.
Cheers, the Bear. [*-)]
Not to be rude, but, what the heck is a UFI manual? Also, why would I read manuals when they only cause further confusion?! Sometimes I have copied and pasted a link and it will show up as a link, other times it will only show up as the URL address, like it did for me this last time. 24 years of messing about with confusers, obviously is not enough experience. Can’t wait until I get older and know everything like you do, Frankie![8-|]
NP2626,
UFI,stands for,‘‘You Find It’’…LOL…
Cheers,
Frankie,
Hmmm, methinks that Frankie stands for Meanie. [8o|]

This would have to be a tie between my Stewart A-B-B-A set of Warbonnet F7’s, and the Athearn SD40T-2 D&RGW tunnel motors.
Wow, I hope a newbie doesn’t stumble on this thread, be nice. It has been asked/answered many times and will be again.
Mine is the UP SD90MacH that we built/kitbashed using a variety of mfgs and scratch built components. It has two 1.06 HB speakers and sounds great too.
Richard
well my favorite for right now would be the Rivarossi H8 Allegheny i just purchased.its been in the backshop getting Tsunami DCC and sound installed and is now back on the road being tested.
Division point Z-6, Z-8 or PSC N-3, or Key R-2. I love the W&R bullmoose 2-8-8-0 and only have one. They are tough to find and at $3500.00 somewhat cost prohibitive.
Mine is the small D&RGW narrow gauge K-28 mike.
Richard
My favorite locomotive is the PRR M1a, PRR steam at its finest.
Any locomotive in Standard Gauge.
Right now, this one: Rio Grande L-131 2-8-8-2 simple articulated
Big, heavy, powerful and if need be, capable of about 50mph. Lugged heavy and expidited freight THROUGH the Rockies, not around them.
Eat your heart out, Big Boy![:P]
