what is your favorite midwestern road

I was wondering which midwestern road people liked best. mine is the KATY[:D]

Alex in the sooner state[8D][?]

UP (yes I know this’s more based on Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas etc). But UP runs through those states. Even though they are mostly based out west, they still run trains through Illinois, particularly Chicago, Wisconsin, Ohio and Michigan (which are Midwestern states). Every once and a while I’ll see a UP train roll through town. Other than that, GTW and SOO are my favorites. [^][^]

SOO line here for obvious reasons [;)]

Gordon

I like the C&NW.

oh were oh were is CNW[?]

The Warbonnet Route of: The Super Chief, Super C, and “Super Cowls!”

My SIG line should give a hint but I voted anyway to make it 'fficial!

Illinois Central. I grew up along it’s mainline, even traveled aboard it’s passenger trains between Chicago & Memphis.

Santa Fe All the Way!

The Rock, very sharp paint schemes in early years, Yaaaaa, “THE ROCKETS”[:)][:)]

CB&Q is what i voted for but its tough since i live in the midwest having Milwaukee Road, C&NW, SOO Line, and Rock Island as roads that were around.

great poll.

Chicago, North Shore and Milwaukee, of course.
