What Projects Have You Been Busy With?

No one ?

No where?

Gotta be somewhere.

It is finding where? So frustrating arriving at dead ends.

You would think. The closest I got was the Athearn site. Got to the payment part when it stated March 2025 was the expected date for delivery. Now on to EBay to see if there are private dealers with some lying around.

Spent this weekend working on a project for a friend! He is building an HO scale version of the tourist train that ran for the first year of the Saratoga, Corinth and Hudson’s operations, and asked me to repaint the roof, replace the handrails, do some paint work on the undercarriage and give a light coat of weathering to a Bachmann Spectrum Pullman Observation car to recreate the SC&H’s Kaydeross! He has decals, so I just did the paint work and swapped the end rails on the car for a more ornate silver set off an old Tyco car! very happy with the results!

I finished up installing lights and ‘peeps’ in mt Capitol Limited Wawasee Pullman-Obs:

An additional LED illuminated the tail light. There was no simple way to illuminate the actual markers

Folks are enjoying the lounge section:

Great stuff here!

Laying track/running feeders on the rest of Sleepy Eye MN.today. 16’ of Nscale goodness. Then underneath to connect all the feeders to the bus wires(yuck

Lotta’ goodness displayed in this thread. Really dig the happenings on Hwy 23, hard to pick a fav., the Hwy itself is a neat looking model, but my hydrocarbon roots and love of Petroliana has me leaning towards River Fuel & Oil.

Preparing my next weathering victim. Thanks & regards, Peter

Me I’ve been working on installing my signal system. Right now the modules are still on the work banch because I have to move stuff around. Hopefully I will find the spacers for my signal control boards and get them installed underneath my module and get the true track glued down so I can start running wires underneath.

I’m not going to install the signals yet because I still need to work underneath the modules and I don’t want to bust signal heads. The goal is to have the West end of the siding complete and start work on the second module.

Once I have enough money I’m going to buy some true track curves and a true track switch once I get the third section and then I am going to install the other signal ending block number three and then I’m going to start building a replica of the signals that I have on the West End four boards, two singles, one double, an interlocking control module to control the switch, four bd 20s, and to control the interlocking an Atlas snapper underneath.

Once I have the signal system operational then I will build the rest of the layout one at a time until it is a fully functional point-to-point railroad. I will run each section individually or as a full layout.

This is going to be an N-Track layout and maybe down the line I might convert it to t-track. But that is for the future another thing that I’m going to be doing later is I’m going to be replacing shells on a couple of my locomotives and even bringing one back from the dead once I bring the parts down.

The goal is to have two trains powered by two engines and one switcher. When the time comes I will upgrade these to NCE and DCC when I can afford it.

Good choice in spite of some alternative suggestions that may come your way.
