No idea but I would be willing to bet it is a brushless can motor of higher quality. If not you can always replace it with something that will fit in the firebox.
Hudson???
Steam!!!

Key generally used a Sagami can motor in their locos–at least the ones I have. Several of the brass Key locos that I have had rather ‘underpowered’ Sagami’s in them, and I replaced them with more powerful NWSL cans. But generally speaking, the Sagami’s are pretty good. If the Hudson has been well-balanced (and Key usually made well-balanced locos) then your loco should probably be able to at least run comfortably within the prototype’s top speed range. One thing that has never hurt any Key loco I’ve ever owned is a little additional weight in the boiler, though. The Koreans seem to get a little shy about loco weight, sometimes. Just make sure that the weight you add keeps the balance over the middle driver on a 4-6-4.

The Key Empire State Hudsons use a Canon CN-22 DN-22 flat sided brushless motor. This motor was widely used in Samhongsa built models from the mid-1980s on. It measures 32mm in length, 22mm in diameter, but is 18mm across the flat sides. It has a single shaft 2mm in diameter by 8mm in length. This motor is rated at 8200 RPM at 12 volts DC, and will produce a scale speed of about 71 MPH with the standard 27:1 ratio coasting gearbox installed in the ESE Hudson, assuming no load.
If you need a replacement, they are available.
