What scale?

What scale is best? How do you pick? The first one probably has no clear answer. The second, for me, was my avalable space versus how small the models are. I picked N-scale because it had the best balance.

The best scale is the one thats right for you. Now, that being said, what goes into that decision is a balance of the things you find most impartant mixed with the space and funds tyou have available to you.

Each scale has it’s strong points and weak points.

N scale had the best balance for you (me too), but for others it may not be the same. Detail thresholds and physical limitations are two things that tend to move people to larger scales, while space considerations and a higher challenge level might make someone look at a smaller scale.

The scale that works for me is HO. I would prefer to do N scale but owing to my physical disabilities that’s next to impossible. O scale is too big for the space I have.

I picked N-scale because it’s what I started with. I though about N-scale, but I have trouble with details in HO, so N would be fun for me. Anything above HO is to big for my tastes.

HO works for me because I have the room and the ease of finding “stuff”
