I am in the process of setting up a schedule (I hesitate to use the term timetable yet) for trains going through my yard, which is based on Frankfort, Indiana. I have a friend who was an engineer on the Monon who was able to tell me roughly when the 2 freight trains a day came through Frankfort, which helps me determine when there would have been interchange work done. Since I have a Pennsy interchange modeled along with the Monon I need to have some idea of what time of the day the cars would appear and disappear on the Pennsy interchange too. I am basing my schedule off the late 1950’s to mid-1960’s, so can anyone give me an idea of how many freight trains would come through and about what time?
Thanks!
