Shorpy featured this neat photo a few weeks ago and I became quite interested in looking at all the details and nuances of the view:
Lynchburg by Edmund , on Flickr
I thought I’d post it here to get some discussion generated for the ‘new’ forum.
Sure is lots of PRR influence here on the N&W.

PRR owned the controlling interest in N&W for years - N&W dividends is what PRR based many of their ‘profits’ on in the years between the end of WW II and the PC debacle.

What is in a photograph?
A multitude of things.
The shapes and sizes of buildings.
Brick walls
A plethora of railroad items
The scenery around it.
Track
Oh! and a train.
Al together makes the photograph. Forget any of them in a model and somehow it will not look right.
