Wow,
Lot of large mixed rosters of passenger cars, complete trains - I hope you have large layouts available to run them on! In my case I have a 20’ by 25’ HO layout, and I run just a few small 50’s era branchline trains:
o - Milw 155/158 - This is a ‘Torpedo Tube’ GP9 with a Bagg/RPO/Coach.
o - C&NW 1546/1599 - Another ‘Torpedo Tube’ GP9 with a 60’ Bagg/60’ Utility Coach.
I do plan on ‘expanding’ passenger service with an Intermountain Milwaukee FP7(if they ever do the ‘delivery’ paint scheme), and more Walthers HW passenger cars. I also have a pair of ‘doodlebugs’ that may be mixed in the operation, and a ‘mixed’ train that uses a combine…

Just one car and it has to serve every purpose. Not many people riding the rails and the trip is only a few feet long.

On the modelled portion of the GER the daily local is usually in the hands of motor 9000, here ready to depart Atwater: -

However, No.9000 is becoming unreliable and today the daily local was in the hands of 4-6-2 No. 685, seen here passing though Granville Junction. :-

How about a little Bachmann 4-6-0 with 5 MDC & Atheran cars for the Texas State Railroad. Or Same engine & four cars painted for the FWWR (Tarantula). A Bachmann 2-8-0 and five MDC cars for the D&SNG (Durango & Silverton) and the Last is still being worked on which is an IHC 4-4-0 modified engine and three 60’ Walther/Rivarossi cars modified to be James West’s train from the TV series the Wild Wild West that run the Shadowrail Tourist rail line her in Wild Wonderfull Wylie, TX.
Very nice looking modelling, Roger. I particularily like your treatment of the track and ballast for the different lines: a very subtle and prototypical way to show the importance of each individual track.

A million years ago I received a Bachman Amtrak set with F9 and three 85’ full dome cars. Looked too short so I bid on some more of the same on Ebay. I haven’t found a dining car to go with it, to make the train more of an excursion train rather than trying to model an intercity route.
To repeat a line from another thread: One of the cars was listed as having a broken hooker at one end. Since I was adding it to the end of the train, I didn’t care if the coupler was broken or not, but a hooker, well I don’t need one wether it’s was broken or not.
