From the paucity of recent SpaceMouse posts, I rather suspect that Chip is deeply involved in the other aspects of his life - including the crass necessity of making a living in tough economic times.
Since my taste in layout design are individualistic, space-specific and heavily influenced by the practices of a non-North American prototype I can’t say I am awaiting another layout contest with baited breath. When, as and if someone decides to have one I will stand on the sidelines and cheer if cheering is appropriate. I won’t be jumping into the game.
Chuck you are half right. I have been working, but I found that spending long hours on a phone turns one to jelly and I needed an exercise program. So I have been playing whack-a-mole with a Titleist. I have managed to make my ops sessions though.
I have a long-standing obligation coming to a close next weekend and I have trackage rights so I am a couple weeks from breaking ground on the Rock Ridge and Train City II.
As for the 5 x 16, no matter what era or terrain, I would run a divider down the center giving you virtually a 30" x 37 ft shelf layout. There’s a lot you can do in that space.
You’re assuming (and you know the dangers of that [swg]) that all of us drink coffee here. I suck on sugar free Hershey’s chocolate minatures and I’ve learned over the years that having that leave your mouth because of something I’ve read or seen on line is a very messy thing to clean up. [:D]
Well, glad that you are around. It sounds like great fun making MR a family thing. I know that Larry and I get more done when we are working on seperate projects in the train room.
