Who made this GP40 locomotive?

I am trying to determine the maker of a GP40 I have had for approx. 30 years. I have completely disassembled it and there are no markings of any kind. The body/shell is plastic. The undercarriage is metal. The shell is black w/ two thin white stripes running the length of the body. One along the walkway, the other from eye level at the cab to the rear just below the ventilation grills. Below the cab window on either side, are two green triangles with apexes pointing away from each other. Any help would be appreciated.

If its a model train then your in the wrong fourm…Try the Model Rail Road Fourm. Judging by the age Id guess Athern or Riverosi, I dont know!?!
Take it to a local hobby shop they may be able to help…Thats probibly your best bet!

IT’S a model TRAIN!
geez whiz. I was gonna ask who has enough room to park a GP40 in their living room? It must be a heck of a nuissance when your trying to watch TV.

If it isn’t a model what do you use it for, to go grocery shopping chez Food lion?

cheers,
kev

You said the body was made out of plastic? It was manufactured by G.E. then.
