Either the Fisher Price,Thomas ho scale set or our Marx 3 rail set. Just depends what the boss decides.

It will be at least a week until the 2025 tree is ready. To fill in, here is 2014. We had two trees that year, one real and one artificial. Both needed a train underneath.
Christmas 1972 it was in front of the fireplace.
In 1973 it was down the basement by our second tree.

I also do, but I’ll post pics later in December. Stay tuned.
I had several battery operated “Christmas tree train sets” like you find in most discount big box stores that ran on large scale/gauge one plastic track over the years. The biggest and best was Bachmann’s original RC Big Hauler and at the other end of the spectrum was an S Scale proportioned set with a crazy wide wheelbase.
This years trees and trains are now completed and operating. We decided to put up two trees, one in the family room and one in my office.
The main tree in the family room has a 55” diameter circle of track With a Christmas passenger train pulled by the only Legacy equipped Christmas engine Lionel made in S gauge. Assorted Snow Village buildings, houses, trees are used. Some S scale cars and people are included.
The tree in my office is simpler. It may be more correct to say the train runs past this tree rather than it being under the tree. The distorted dog bone track is 50”x166”, plenty for a Legacy Berkshire pulling a 10 car Christmas freight.
