Will be offline for at least a week starting Monday

Monday morning my right lung will be removed due to mesothelioma as a result of asbestos exposure while in the Navy. I have been on this forum since December 2004, mostly as a reader.

In my opinion this forum has the best communication link of all. I love CTT and this website.

Hopefully I. Will be able to return in a week or two.

Dave

Best of luck sir, see ya soon!

I’ll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers! Remember always, miracles happen to those who ask for them!

Becky

Best of luck, and God’s Speed for a quick recovery !!! My prayers and thoughts will be with you. And, will be looking forward to seeing you back. You have added a lot to this forum, and we will be missing you. Please have someone give us an update after your procedure.

Don

Fair winds and following seas to you sailor, and best of luck on your “passage through the narrows.”

Semper Fi!

Wayne

Prayers and keep us informed. Show Wifey or someone how to post so we can get an update until you are able.

Being nosey. VA hospital? Not a fan of VA medicine around here.

God bless.

Hope all goes well.

Since I am not service connected, the VA wouldn’t schedule me in when my lung first bothered me in July… I was told my next appoint was in April.

In November I became very ill and my daughter and wife took me to Urgent Care. I was examined and sent to the ER. The doctors sent me to our community leading pulmonary specialist who took charge. He found asbestosis! Then a biopsy mesothelioma was found.

Dave: This “older” guy and his chief engineer wish you well.

Thanks, older is an honor!

I am 73 and until July had excellent health. As long as I worked at AMVETS never took a sick day.

I appreciate you folks.

We arrived in Columbus and are at a motel across from the hospital. Operation prep starts at 930am.

Sad to report the surgery was not successful. Do not know if there are many options.

Prayers to you my friend please keep us in formed

I am so sorry. Words fail me. God bless you.

HE does bless!

We will keep you in our prayers.

David, As a cancer survivor & a former Man-to-Man member, I have seen miracles happen. God be with you.

David,

I’m sorry to hear the surgery did not turn out well. I’ll be praying for you and your family.

Joe

David,

I’m going to put you on the prayer list at my church. The whole place will be praying for you my friend.

George

Good luck! There are many of us out there in different stages of cancer. You are not alone, and don’t be alone
