wiring dcc

do buss wires have to be a loop back to the terminal block?

No.

just as close as you can to main lines and major yards,

Ken.

Hi Axehead!

Many of us use a main bus then attach sub bus wiring to feed out to where the track feeders are located. That way the fine wires (20 to 24 guage) can be kept short for best circuits. Alan Gartner has a great site that explains ways to put the wiring together and a lot of other “tricks”. Check it out: http://www.wiringfordcc.com/

The only time the bus has to be terminated is if it is longer than 30’ (covered at the site above) and the bus does not have to be a loop that comes back to the main terminal block.

Have fun! [:D]
