wood roundhouse kit?

Hi, I’m searching for an HO-scale wood roundhouse kit. No luck in the Walthers catalog or online searches. Does anyone know of one available?

I’m looking for something to represent the L&N roundhouse in Pensacola FL. I have a photo from the 1920s that shows an 8-stall roundhouse made of wood siding. I’m actually modeling the early 50s, so I’m not sure if the same wooden roundhouse was in place then or had been replaced with a more modern brick version (I have an aerial photo from 1951 showing a roundhouse, but can’t tell what it’s made of). So if anyone happens to know a good source for info about the L&N roundhouse in Pensacola, I’d appreciate that too!

If all else fails, build your own.

Try AMB and BTS; both have laser-cut wood roundhouse kits, but I’m not sure if either are the right style for your prototype.

Jeff’s “build it yourself” idea might not be all that much work. You could pick up an inexpensive “brick” roundhouse (like an Atlas) and a few panels of Evergreen clapboard siding. Then, it would be a simple matter to cut siding to fit around the doors and windows, and glue it to the outside of the brick.
