And none of the railcars in that photo are still operating. PATH has replaced their entire fleet over the last several years.

Anyone have a ‘progress report’ on the LIRR access to GCT? Maybe it is stalled, with all the money going to Mayor Warren Wilhelm’s’ (aka Bill DeBlasio) pre-K’ government-subsidized baby sitting. No biggie. We don’t want the Long Islanders in GCT anyway! They’ll track sand in, and other detritus, raising hell with the terrazzo floors of the terminal.

Only 12.5 years from 911. Construction must have proceeded at a feverish pace.
