Here’s a new video from me:

“Chasing intermodal hotshot NAWJ (Nashua, NH - White River Jct., VT) over the White River Southern Railroad. We’ll meet business train extra LECD-1 in Ogden Siding and see some overhead views of the train on the Mascoma Lake Grade.”

Another great WPF shaping up…WOWWWW!! [:O] [8D]

Sorry to throw a bit of a damper on the fun, but I would like to remind everyone to please NOT use the quote function for this thread except for quoting text. Quoting an entire post with mulitple images really puts the clamp on the several members here who love the thread each weekend but who have to walk away for 10 minutes while the page loads if they are on dial-up. Quote text only, please. [:)]

Here is my contribution; an SW8 is shoving an old wooden short gondola onto the wheel track in preparation for dropping off some wheel sets.

WOW!!! Everyone’s stuff looks so great… Grampy’s still posting real photos, and the White River Video… very nice… I might suggest lowering your frame rate for Youtube, but the video got my and my daughters’ attention… They both love trains.

Good Work everyone… Since the weather is frozen sunshine, about a foot of it coming so I’m told, looks like the paint shop will be open and I’ve got a mean dozen DPM’s to paint. I’m not much of a weatherer, I mostly give it a shot of dullkote and call it good, but after seeing some of the work here, I’m thinking of trying it…

Kudos all.

Here is my entry for the week.

The local freight rumbles by as a father and son return from a successful fish trip.

The photo is taken on a module I built for my local modular model railroad club. I photographed the scene outdoors to get the best lighting and some nice shadows from the trees.

Great job again this week everyone,

Here’s a photo of my “new” SD40-2. I put the new in quotes because I’ve actually have had it for 3 years, but since the circuit board burnt out a year ago I haven’t been able to use it. I finally found a replacement board that wasn’t too expensive and replaced it. I also had to replace the frame because the old one got damaged when I attempted to repair the old board…[banghead]

Have a great weekend,

Jamie

Here’s a shot of My newest addition,No explanation necessary on this one… I picked this up at the Amherst Rwy Society Show in Ma. last Saturday. It is an Ho Accurail kit and I assembled it Yesterday.

Shown here on My Timesaver layout since I don’t have room for a large layout…

A few shots of my current project. It’s a water tank for my On30 locomotives. It’s roughly based on the Colorado & Southern Baker tank, hence the flat roof. Right now it’s still in sub-assemblies. I am awaiting delivery of the necessary detail parts; bolts and washers, tank band turnbuckles, and the spout mechanism.

The tank itself is built up around a salted peanut can.

Crandell,

That is one GREAT looking scene. I have read your piece on how you made that turn table, and that photo really makes it look outstanding[bow][bow]

Well, after all, you guys have at least 5-hour headstart on the weekend!

Here in the mid-atlantic, we’re buckling down for a huge snowstorm, as much as 2 feet, so we may have lots of housebound modelers with time and work to post!

Hi,

Yes You have right, we have a few hours headstart to begun the week end and by the way it’s the second time I am able to start the WPF post.

I have just find funny that the second topic in the post was made by Mister Duedler; also an European.

Anyway it’s a great post like all the WPF ones and You can’t feel the pleasure it’s for me to share my week works whith all the others.

Below a few pics of a project I whish to do, I hope to repair this model and use it on the expand layout because it’s brings me a lot of memories.

This is a very early Arnold Rapido kit which was a gift from my late loved father for christmas.

I believe it was in 1973/74 and it was one of my very first attempt to build a good looking model whith some scratchbuild details like the little wood shed and the paper brick wall glued inside. It was supposed to be used for a very early layout which was an European one whith a "spaghetti’ track design.

For some unknow reasons I never used this model and it was stored badly and suffer from many move in very bad conditions; some parts like the clestory is broken and others are missing.

I will try to rebuild it and give her a decent look to use it after a nearly 40 years…

Marc

Colesdad, thank-you very much for your kindness. It means a ton! [:)]

Marc, you are no slouch when it comes to modelling. Your building looks very good. I hope to see it closer and mounted on a diorama soon…?

-Crandell

Hi Crandell,

Thanks a lot for your answer.

Yeah, all these models will be part of my on the way big yard for my Maclau River.

I have just start to build the metalic frame to support the benchwork and have put some unlay track and turnouts whith some already finished models to see how all goes toghether.

First I will build the small steam terminal; the roundhouse, the ash pit, the sand tower are ready, still need to be build the water tank and coal tower and the turntable ( a small Peco one, may be this week).

The ice houce will be used for the outside track of the yard ladder just along the edge of table.

As soon as possible I will publish some pics of it.

Marc

Nice looking maintenance shack. Is that scratch built?

Yeah I wish I was at that point in this hobby. Actually a buddy gave it to me and I just stuck it on there for the heck of it. It’s not prototypical of the location. just having some fun.

Here’s a photo of my N Scale CSX caboose(ex Chessie/B&O).

This is a Athearn caboose and it has seats in the bay and a generator on the trucks.

Here’s something I recieved from some friends on another forum. It was a complete surprise to me.
