Thanks! I was hoping to meet you as well. After following your exploits and listening to the stories of your family growing up for the last 10 years I almost feel like you are extended family. This was my first York, but it won’t be my last. We will have to make it work another time. I have met quite a few folks from the CTT forums and many from the OGR forums. I’ve even had a few vendors look at my name tag and ask “Are you the Northwoods Flyer that hosts the Pre War Flyer thread?” So I guess that makes me noteworthy or notorious. It has been a great experience - one more day before heading back to Wisconsin with NationWideLines.
Never been to York but have been to lots of smaller train shows I started in 83. What I did was over time bought way too much stuff. Much of it is in storage where I don’t see it, don’t enjoy it and it makes no sense.
I have many cars and engines, out on shelves but many only get run once in several years, again more than I can sensibly use.
I have bought buildings for my layout before any real plans for them and now no place for them.
Mr. Vega, don’t feel bad, I think we’re all in your situation in one way or another.
What the hell, beats a drug habit!
One of these days I’ll make it out to York myself, and God help me when I do. I’ll either come home with way too much stuff or they’ll be carrying me out on a stretcher!
Well by now the seller should have at least been informed of my offer. We gave them until tomorrow at 6PM to respond seeing the seller is selling for Mom and I believe there is 3 of them making the decision as I know one is here in S.C. locally and mentioned that there mother was with another in N.C. and I see the deed is actually to another in AR.
Firelock76 Your less than 300 miles there, about 5 hours driving time, I’m about 14 hours with pit stops for the wife, We have to do it in two days becuse she gets hurting so much from riding in the truck ( the car was the same story )
