I might have a few (dozen) units, mostly diesel, including C45ACCTe’s (ES44AC’s) SD 90’s, 70’s, a DD40, AC4400’s, Dash 8’s and Dash 9’s, Gp 15-1, 38-2. I also have some renumbered SP units and all SP units will eventually be re-numbered. All are DCC.
I’m curious about the MAC’s. Is this a concept unit? I don’t think the UP ever rostered MACs. Currently they have 1448 SD 70M’s on the roster.
Hey, guys, I just realized that we’ve got an 11 year-old future model railroader here, who I slammed for calling me “Dude”.
So let’s ease back a little and share some stuff with him, okay?
UnionPacificNut–
As I said in my previous post, I don’t have a lot of UP equipment, but that’s because I model Rio Grande and Southern Pacific. However, I do have a “Sports Model” 4-8-2 mountain painted in UP “Challenger” colors, and I have an E-6 A-B-B diesel set that I use to pull my City of San Francisco passenger train. I’m going to sell off the 4-8-2, not because I don’t like UP, but because it really doesn’t fit my RR. I’m keeping the City of San Francisco, though, because it ran on SP over Donner Pass between Ogden Utah and Oakland, California.
So, what part of the UP territory do you live in? I think a lot of us would like to know.
First he claimed he didn’t have an age, then he was 13, then 12, now 11. He’s two years older than my granddaughter, who is honest. Now I have a cellphone that doesn’t take pictures, but I also know that when I claim to have a best seller, I’d best present the reviews.
It amazes me how people become obsessed with other people over simple stuff to the point of stalking them on the web. Scary stuff!!
If he attempted to scratch build something like those particular items at his age, I am sure they look decent relative to his experience and skill level. At least he ain’t out smoking crank and stealin’ cars.
Edit: As far as the age thing goes, he may have been reluctant to post his age because he was afraid that some folks would not respond to him because of how young he is. I believe in givin’ everyone a fair shake in a situation like this until they do me wrong.
None. I’ve got a respectable number of their freight cars (boxcars mostly), but since I’m modeling an area that the UP didn’t run in until the 1980s, I don’t need any of their engines!
I had a UP GP40…it got painted into CSX colors…looks better now.
I agree with Gene and Woundedbear, 11 yr.old scratchbuilder? I’d like to see the pics too, bet that City of San Francisco is the same TYCO thing he saw on ebay.
For those here that aren’t familiar with upnut yet, you will soon see why he has such a ‘‘folllowing’’…we have seen his antics and read his ‘‘fairy tales’’, all we have to do is wait and he will provide us with some marvelous ‘‘Mother Goose’’ style tales.
Bear- Well he told me he has a HANDMADE BRASS FEF and he bought that all at a train show yesterday that he didnt know about until he left AND that he spent $900. Now where does a 12 year old find 900$. Oh last time I checked he was 11.
Lets see, first he was graduating from “HarvErd” then he was 20. After that he was 15 then was 13. He later became 12 and finally an 11 year old who spends too much time on the computer and too little time on his schoolwork. May I add that this is probably almost all lies such as we experienced on the bachmann forums.
Nope, mine’s still here at home in the box along with most of my other BLI’s. If you’re curious, e-mail me privately and I’ll give you list and prices.
Nah. them MT-73s are quite handsome though. But then again I’m partial to the UP family look. [:D]
The fleet is pretty full as is. In fact I’m thinking of selling some of my power. PRR J1 and mabey the N&W A class. My next new aquisition should be the PCM AC-12…if it ever comes out. [(-D]
