Welcome to the forum, Mel!

The first time I think I’ve seen GCT compared to Rheims Cathedral.

You have to love the '50s AV technology, particularly the lavalier mikes.

(Question: is anyone else experiencing little dropouts in the playback?)

What I noticed was the frame rolling when switching between cameras as though the cameras were not in sync. By the time I learned that technology all the cameras in a live shot were synched to a common signal generator.

I also wonder how they received the live signal from the moving train cab shot back in 1955. TV signal transmitters were pretty bulky back then.

Isn’t the filming all just a question of editing?

welcome Mel.

Loved the ‘unobtrusive’ microphones.

Great stuff, Mel. I’d never heard Morgan’s voice before. Thank you for the post!
