The AC / DC thing refers to the motors. If a can type motor it is DC, if open wound like a pull more it is AC. The incoming power is always AC, just transformed to DC for the can motors.
Brent all I can do is confuse you some more they run on ac but the motors are dc so which you need I’m not sure as once it gets powerf from the track it gets converted to dc but if its before or after where you hook up I don’t know.

Afternoon all. Town business most of the day. Replaced a flush valve in upstairs bath. All went well. Now downstairs one quit??? It is an old style and a plumber will have to find a replacement. Been busy…Installed Woodland Scenics foam roadbed. A little squishy…probably wouldn’t recommend for larger layouts with real heavy engines. Very easy to work with. The beveled roadbed material works well under the 022 switch motors. Really no need to use the sheets unless covering a large area.

Tried to make some money but almost got burned on the deal! STAW AWAY from anybody who emails you pretending to be from Ashley Furniture Company, IT IS A RIP-OFF!!! Bank let me know that the money orders went BAD after five days, I was about to do a wire transfer when I got a call from my bank asking me to come in. Went to the bank and was told the money orders I depositted on friday were BAD!
Just bought the June Trains magazine, has articles on short line railroads of Pennsylvania.
Still trying to find work, signed up with two temporary outfits to get work.
Have not heard from the guy at choochoo auctions if he wants to buy any of my excess trains, there are in good shape just I have too many.

If you run old flyer they had Ac motors, DC motors but most had universal motors why can’t we go back to universal motors???[:o)]
Just to clarify old flyer had a DC or AC at end of number where as the universal motors had no letters in the number.
Well I called about noon and got voice mail well he called right back saying he needed a few things (I wonder if I hadn’t called when he would of called and asked for them) I’m still waiting to hear I guess they have all they need now they needed a copy of the signed titled for the mobile home a a few other items. All which I feel should of been asked for from the word go.
I went into countrywide site today (thru a point thing were if I visit sites I get x amount of points if I fill out a survey I get x amount more well I’ve been called 6 times today by them 1st time told them I don’t even own a hopuse at present I live in a paid off mobile home I filled out the questioned neer for the points guess that wasn’t good enough I’ve had to hear from them 5 more times so far.

Busy day, had blood draw for PSA,cut the grass, and went to Aldi’s,for those that don’t know Aldi is a grocery that sells off brand foods for much less money than the usual grocery. Anyway I almost passed out, right there for all to see GRITS,instant grits piled up right there in the food section. I thought that stuff was sold at tire stores. An awful experience, not for the young to see. No trains today, I just enjoyed the outdoors. Some rain expected tomorrow but who knows, the weather people don’t. S.J.
Sir James I understand now why no trains today it must have really been traumatic to see all those grits in a grocery store yet did you ask them what they were thinking? I would think twice before I ventured in there again.

I want all of these disparaging remarks about grits to stop. Just because my dogs adamantly refuse to eat them is no reason to conclude that they are unsuitable for human consumption. Following some errands today, got within 100 yards my road. The street I was on (35mph speed limit) was blocked off by 2 police cruisers. Head on collision just occurred. Took them about an hour to extract the victims, haul them away by ambulance, and tow the cars away. Somehow I can only conclude that drivers are too rushed and too distracted to safely pilot a 3,500 pound weapon. The sun was shining and the roads bone dry. Makes me glad my kids are older and not just learning to drive.
RT…don’t get into a peeing contest with the bankers…until after the loan gets approved. No sense messing up your hot streak. Someone as well as I asked you if you’re going to have room for trains in your new digs. Yes, no, maybe?

Stopped in for a quick cup. No time for forum lately. School construction still dragging along. Some contractors are just plain slow (or too cheap to hire more skilled laborers). Staffing is still dragging along too. My boss is holding up staffing due to tight budget and lack of wiggle room with teachers to divy out. Making me crazy.
Mrs. is going to beach for a girls weekend. Should have some quality alone time this weekend. Probably have a honey-do about a mile long. You know how it will go… since you’ll be alone and bored…
Son’s graduation at AU was nice but we got drenched coming and going on the highways as well as to and from the parking lot. Felt like we were drowning with all the rain. Weather yesterday was beautiful. Hopefully more of the same is in store.
