We’ve been lucky here in the Puget Sound area the last few days, to be free of rain. We’ve even seen the sun once or twice, which means a possible gorgeous sunset.
I was even more fortunate to be able to catch a Cascades train cruising past Steilacoom, WA just after sundown. See what you think!
Pat doesn’t think that purple and orange go well together, but this picture does a stunning job of dispelling that!
I’m kind of like Mookie, in that my local horizons are somewhat limited by trees and whatnot. When I worked evenings, I was party to some spectacular sunsets. Now we get some good sunrises about half of the year. Somebody could make some good shots of them, but not I. And they’d still be nothing like this.
Of course, it still gripes me that I spent a couple of hours in Steilacoom a couple of years ago, while visiting my son, and didn’t see a single train…
There must have been a work window, or perhaps it was a Sunday? Sunday’s can be quiet, but otherwise, it’s typically quite busy. Yesterday, I stopped in Steilacoom and worked on my laptop for about 45 minutes - 5 trains.
