Thank you, Roy - outstanding work!!!

There used to be one in… Waltham MA, I think it was, that my family would often stop at when headed to or from a place we vacation during the first week or two after school let out… remember eating there many times. Seems like it was one of many locations that closed more or less overnight, not even a warning to the employees or anything.
There’s a good few that aren’t too far from me, but that doesn’t seem to be the norm. And there were definitely more out here 10 years ago.

I have fond memories of visiting one in Northampton, MA, which was next to the toy store that’s still there. The space is now occupied by a fitness place. Seems like they still have a location in Florence though, which is very nearby.

Mornin’ guys and gals. Sunny and 53 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Watching YouTube and playing Angry Birds on tap today.

Trip to Doctor’s office showed no broken bones on X-ray. Couple of possibilities, but will narrow it down once meds kick in. Actually slept comfortably for the first time in days, so progress on that front. Not good at all on crutches, and still using desk chair to roll around on. I can drive, and did drop off Ms Kelly at the grocery store. I wanted to use the red motorized scooter, but she voted that down… Where’s the trust…?[:-,]

Same with International House of Pancakes aka IHOP not many of those left anymore either.I also remeber SAMBOS chain of Pancake Restaurants as well. My TYCO Model Favorite was a Howard Johnsons-

Good afternoon!!

Fife - I MIGHT trust you on a scooter, those grocery store scooters are slow…get well soon!!

Becky - We have a cruise night at Friendly’s every Thursday Night (we are off now for the season). Had a killer burger there a couple weeks ago…EV training last night - the take away is, unless you would like to have an unstoppable fire in your garage or just outside your house.

3 ways to put out an EV fire:

Cool the batteries with lots of water

Put the car in a pool of water

Just let it burn until it burns out

Not much else - standing Honor Guard on Sunday for a fellow firefighter (44) who passed on Monday

Stay well, all!!

anjdevil - I think it came down to her really wanting to keep patronizing that particular establishment…[}:)]

As I understand it that’s pretty much the consensus among firefighters concerning EV’s. Keep the fire contained so it doesn’t spread to any vulnerable surroundings and let the thing burn itself out.

Than ask the owner if he’s got his insurance company on speed dial.

I remember watching demonstrations a few years back where they intentionally punctured lithium batteries to show the amount of potential energy locked up in a simple phone battery. My take away was YEOWZA!!! [:S]

Mornin’ guys and gals. Today is the first day of Turkey Hunting season in WV. I shall stay inside.

Hey we are back, Spent some time up in Miniocqua Wi. to take in the colors, ride the trails with the Gator, get away and enjoy 40 years of each other. We headed up a little early this year but we hit the colors in peak so it worked out great. Took a day trip to Silver Cliff to check out my pal Mark’s log cabin progress. It is looking great. Nice tribute to Banks. [Y] Thanks Roy.

Fife, bow has started Oct 1 and this morning I heard shotguns going off. [:(!] Poachers shooting out of season. [yeah] there is a word for them, but I better [:#]

I need to catch up later.

Right! I remember the flap a few years back with cell phone batteries spontaneously combusting.

People were getting “Hot Pockets” that didn’t come from a supermarket freezer case! [(-D]

Wild turkeys are making an amazing comeback in some places. It was ten years ago we were visiting Lady Firestorm’s mom in Paramus NJ when I spotted a wild turkey walking down the street! In suburban NJ!

I ran inside to get Lady F so she could see for herself. After spotting the turkey she said:

“Next time I come here I’m bringing a .22 and a can of gravy!” [C=:-)]

Flint - I’m a bit of a Butterball, so for me it’s about self-preservation.[(-D] The fact that I’m strutting around on crutches makes me that more vulnerable as well…[B)]

You just need to learn how to flap your crutches and gobble! [(-D]

What does a turkey do when he flies upside down?

Ummmm, crashes? [:^)]

He gobbles UP! [(-D]

Even though it’s October, I’ve picked up a few pieces for my “Christmas setup” this year on my layout! A ceramic water tower from Walmart along with a lamp post set and a sculpture of a dog mailing a letter to Santa!

These will go with my other Walmart Christmas buildings this season.

OK! [(-D]
