I can relate to medical blunders someone I know hurt their arm and the doctor said it would need physical thearpy and the nurse wrote the script for theapy on the NOSE [%-)] the thearpist had to call the doctor to settle the matter.[:D]
Got the gondola finished & may as well start another one now ! I think they look better on the flat cars but the RR has to make money somehow !! [(-D]
Thanks, John
Good afternoon all,
It is sunny and cold in SE Indiana with temps in the 20s. My thoughts and prayers are with all those who going thru some medical issues. We watched “Cars” last night. The opening sequence was hilarious. Lucas worked yesterday and today. He and I went driving after work and he did ok. Got up early enough to watch Thomas the Tank Engine on the local PBS. It is fairly good. Desperate Housewives is on tonight. I should have posted this morning about the dining car, but it was too early for a Sunday. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
By the way Lisa if you your husband and chief and his wife ever want to do some fishin let the chief bring his boat and there some oof the best fishin right here in VA I’m surounded by water here theres more inlets and rivers here than you can shake a stick at and you even have the cheasapeake bay here. of coarse the atlantic ocean isn’t that far either by land or by water. So you don’t have to goto Ohio of coarse we could get you to go to PA for some nice vacation also lots of great areas up there too as laz he’ll tell you.
Think i over did it yesterday guys think I pulled a muscle.
Oh well no pain no gain but just need to take it careful next few days.
not much else going on here will tal to you all later
Chief should be in soon so watch it you all sure you got him all rowled up trying to get sweet lisa to go north again lol
Mitch and Bill, prayers go out for your friends… wow…
Mitch, received the app on Saturday, mailing it out tomorrow…
Too many posts to read…

Hello All! Don B- Glad your issue is resolved with the other “Forum”. As a sign of gratitude send them a can of Hormel Spam with a letter of Thanks.[;)][:D][:P][dinner] Hope that all who have sickeness/illness get better soon. CSXJohn- Another nice job. Something is missing here though? hhmmm, I know. How about a Corvair on a Flatcar with CTT Markings on the Corvair & B&O or C&O markings on the Flatcar? (No N&S or any of the southern roads on a classy flatcar[;)]) [;)][:o)][:P] Even Bruce may like one although on a Flatcar with CN Markings.[;)][;)][8D] Take Care all.
Survived the Scout leader training weekend. It was cold but no rain, so all went well. Picked up a new tent for this (needed a smaller one than the family tent - so got a Coleman 9x7) and I still remain amazed how they pack these things in a “reusable” carrier that once you take it out it will never go back in [soapbox]. There should be a law that says anything you sell has to be tested by a normal consumer and they have to be able to repack it into the supplied container.
Prayers for those in need.
Have a great evening!
Posted some pics on main forum of snow plows back in January . A freind sent them to me with a story it was foward to him so he foward it to me.
RT- Thanks for the invite. Have done quite a bit of fishing in the Bay - I have a B-I-L who lives in Salisbury MD - so we go out on that side - usually around Deal Island. Seems my BIL allows orders lots of wind and rough water when we go! Have caught a bunch of nice fish. Soon be time to hit the river here- ready to do a little nighttime catfishing.
Lisa
Kieth,
John’s too late. Check out the latest pic I posted in Foto Phun. My 2 Corgi Corvairs have been a permanent flatcar load for a few years now. Probably cuz nobody wants to unload them due to safety issues [;)]
Gotta agree…John’s gondola load looks awesome, especially now that it’s painted up.
MAN [LADY]!!! How many posts since I posted Friday??? At this rate we will overload the CPU before June.
Lisa fixing her wire problem show, Southern Gals can Survive!!!
After reading all those posts, I know you can NOT believe anything Buckeye posts. So many things, I can not remember to answer all I had intended.
Tired. Stopped by a distant VA cousin’s [84] whose wife had died about 9 months ago. Then came by In-law’s and ate. Took car back to rental office.
Got busy day tomorrow and Town Board tomorrow night. Later.
Welcome home, safe and sound Chief. Be sure to check out the Sunday Photo Fun thread, lots of good pics.
Sounds like you are not going to get much train time again this week.
Take care.
Sitting here watching the ending of Silver Streak on AMC. The AMRoad equipment is thinly disguised CPRail F units and Budd cars. The Chicago station into which the train finally crashes is in reality interior shots of Toronto’s Union Station. Sorry for spoiling the illusion and the ending [;)]

CXT. We used to refer to Asians as WOGs; Wonderful Oriental Gentlemen. Not very PC, really!
We get so much US TV/Film here that a lot of your inferior language and mannerisms are creeping in to our culture. An instance is table manners- not using the knife and shovelling food into the mouth with the fork (like firing a switcher)-UGG!!-Disgusting! Enough to put the rest of us off our food.
OOps, That was a Senior Moment! Should have been addressing CSX with that last one. I was going to ask CXT “what that rather nice 3 rail track was in the photo you posted?”.
Good morning from Gettysburg. Currently 28 with high to be about 45. Wind gusts of 35+ mph so I better hold on to my hat…
Brent - Glad you got your application. Get’er in the mail to the TCA ASAP and then the application to the Eastern Division for the York Meet. You won’t be disappointed, although you better wear some comfortable shoes.
FYI - I went to see my buddy Dave. The dialysis has really helped and he was pretty cheerful and able to enjoy some visitors. Kidney biopsy today, with preliminary results by the end of the week and full results in about 3 weeks. Should find out if the kidney failure is the result of permanent damage or if the kidneys will recover. Keep him in your prayers.
Well I better get going. Dining car has passed through already.
Take care,
Mitch
Good morning from New England!
Had a great weekend of train running with the kids. We have a pair of Santa Fe F3s pulling a long train of coal filled hoppers. Sure looks good winding around the layout!
I took Julia to a Father/Daughter dance Friday night and had a ball. It was nice to see her enjoying herself so much. The next day, we were back in the same gym for basketball practice. She got 3 baskets!
John, I love those loads you made for the flat car and gon! Wow! You da man! We ran out of “coal” for our hoppers. I’ll stop by the pet store this week and buy more. I use aquarium filter charcoal (not gravel).
Have a great day, everyone.
Jim
Hi GIZ,
Same forcast as MITCH gave but suppose to get higher winds? 45-50 MPH?
Ran trains last nite for and hour all good, no pile ups.
Looked like a great turn out for Sunday Foto fun over 1000 views.

[tdn][tdn][tdn], it is true you can’t remember squat!!!
Good morning from Buckeyeland!!! It is 28 degrees and looking good for my trip today to Hoosierland.
The home network is back running, so I can do work from home again. [sigh]
Ran the trains yesterday. No pileups and everything is running perfect. Awaiting a big order of track so as to expand the layout. I have been collecting accessories for the new addition for the last two years.
Mitch, sorry to hear about your friend.
Everyone have a good week.
See ya down the tracks,
WOW, you miss reading the board for 1 day and there are over 3 pages of posts to read, remember, try to responde to, lose your response, read through posts again because 35 yo mind isn’t what it used to be, realize you had forgotten to responde to 3/4 of the posts you were going to responde to, then start typing again, and lose post again! [V][banghead]
Oh well, guess you can’t expect much from a free board! [B)]
Anyhoo haw…
Buckeye, I was in Pissburgh visiting my family. My mother turn 60 on Saturday so I made the trip to celebrate with her. Also had to go visit the new tenants at my house and install a new ball trap grate (old grate cracked an no longer prevented the sewage gases from escaping into the house), new grate works great! Also had to stop by a place I used to purchase my trains from so I could do my part to keep him in business, had to pickup the F-3 B Unit to the Chessie F-3 A-A set I got at the train show last weekend. I haven’t even finished emptying the car! Found my old O-27 30" K-Line track sections, so I snagged them for shelving, also found the 30 old ceiling tiles I had been keeping for mountain production… told the tenants not to toss those in the trash! [;)]
Fife,
I did some research and found that the B Unit only comes in one road number, so I decided to only get the 1. I know I could renumber the second one, and that may be a possibility if I don’t spend all my York money at York. [?]
Mitch,
App is with me as I type this. Going to write the check, address the envelope, stamp it, address it and drop it in the mail in a few mins.
Mitch, Fife, Laz, John, et al
How long will it take to get the membership number? Do I need it to get a badge for York, or could I copy the app and check and fax that to th
