Happy New Year To All You Guys. Wishing You all the best. Gary
Well Happy New Year y’all,
LAZ and ZWBOB - don;t worry - the fliers from AARP will start coming soon and alert you to all your ills and needs to plan for Medicare gap insurance! If you do not join, they send an 800lb (he seems to have gained weight over the holidays?) bear to help you see the light.
Watching the Rose Parade - really spectactular floats this year with the nature theme.
BTW - great Year in review article by Dave Barry in yesterday’s newspaper. The most relevent quote applying to the Coffee Pot members is that the nations interstae highway system marked it’s 50 th b-day last year with 47,000 miles of high speed roads connecting 157,000 Waffle Houses, including the one down the street from SpankyBird’s house!
Have a great day all!
Ah! The famous (Willoughby Waffle House") Roy- Now you done it. Willoughby will now be invaded by Rebels just waiting to try out the Waffle House in a Northern Climate. I can see the Parking Lot filled with Southern Corvair’s just waiting to try out the cuisine there.[;)][;)][:P][:o)] Thanks a lot![;)][;)][:o)] Take Care.[:)]
Jim
I think #6 is really going to make #5 hard to achieve. Chief luvs his grits.
Happy New Year! Sitting in the airport in Charlotte.
Good afternoon everybody,
It is cloudy and cooler in SE Indiana with temps dropping into the 30s today. No SNOW except maybe for a few flurries today. I can leave the snowblower alone for a while longer. We stayed up really late this morning, and I should have posted then[:(] Wow , we are up to three pages already! It is good to see so many people on the new “pot”. We got up around 10 AM today. We may watch some movies today as we are not into college football very much. I want to wish all on the forum a HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Feeling tired - let the kids stay up and ended up getting to bed about 1:30. Luckily, no work today! Can finally get to my layout, so will probably get something done today. Here’s to a great year!
Howdy y’all. I am not doin anything today, work on my little N scale layout 25"x48" and continue trying to find a way to build my O scale self layout. I might go out to the ranch today and put some corn in my deer feeders, but I am still not sure if I want to drive out there today.
Glad to see Duda has his old humor with him. Marty, wave as you fly over Roseyville headed Nawth. Dozed as I watched a few westerns. Now on the way up to do more work on layout. Still rainy or I’d be sawing away. Seems all are checking in. Think I’ll call Skyray and see if he is OK. Jim A sounded better today. Later.
Hi every one just got ate a big bowl of grits I HELP CHIEF get grits into New York.[}:)]
Happy New Year everyone!
Penn State lands Big Ten’s first Win in 2007!
Finished taking down the Christmas layout this morning [:(]
Father-In-Law has offered his basement as the staging area for next year’s Christmas layout! LOL! Construction begins in two weeks - pictures to follow.
Why isnt my avitar working? HELP[banghead]
Happy New Year everyone.
Slept late this morning then took down outside Christmas decorations and stored them away, then watched Penn State beat Tennesee. When I finnaly got around to the Pot it already had three pages.
Also took my Christmas train off the layout and stored it away.
Laz, Think of it as starting your second half century!
zwbob, That sounds like a PA New Years day dinner.
Enjoy your trains,
With the exception of my Polar Express Set (which I run year round), all my x-mas stuff is back in its boxes or up on the shelves for next year.
Well, it’s better, but it still ain’t good yet. In order to post, I have to completely disable my firewall, even though I have told it to trust this site one hundred percent. But it is better than it used to me, at least I can post by disabling the firewall.
Drinking some [b]Cafe Bustello[/b] Cafe con Leche, or Cafe con Lecher as I used to call it when I was younger and feistier. Got a ham hock boiling for the collards, and the black eyed peas and hog jowl are already. The brisket just signaled that it was ready, so let me test post this and see how it goes.
Happy NEW YEAR all you guys.

Happy New Year ALL!
Had my Dunkin Donuts coffee & crossaint. Here in the Northern outpost of Florida it is dark drizzly and 70, very humid. Waffle House rules, just keep them grits fer someone else, PLEASE!!!
We’ll dismantle the Christmas stuff on Saturday, the traditional end of the Christmas season, then try to find a new home for the Pemberton & Hightstown railway. The wife is hinting the garage, as I’m seriously considering selling off the car (and those related parts) and ALL the Hot Wheels. Something to mull over the next short work week!
Congratulations to all Penn State Fans! [tup][tup][tup][tup] Did Penn State take that Lion sound effect with them to the game. That is the most obnoxious stadium sound in football and really [censored] the opposition.
It is working just fine on my computer. [tup]
Many years ago the Turbo Train pictured in your avatar was running across Northern Indiana during summer “snow” season. There is about a two week period in Northern Indiana that the Cottonwood trees just “snow” their seeds. The seeds are attached to white “feathers” as they float through the air resembling snow.
As the Turbo Train crossed through NE Indiana, it powered down and made an emergency stop to clean the intake screens clogged with Cottonwood snow.

Thanks a bunch Buckeye I would like to get the ohio state set go Buckeyes!!![swg]
“And Mom and Dad [and some on this forum] will be glad when school starts again.” [;)][(-D][:-^]
Off to Inlaws for dinner. Got some work done upstairs. Later
Wow! Took a long time to get caught up. Had three/four pages on the old pot to read and this one is already up to four pages.
Buckeye, condolances to you, your wife and family. Losing a family member is always difficult.
Laz, Turned fifty a few years ago, hardly remember it now. Memory fades fast, I think I’m 53. As for getting primed, there are pills for that.
Been a busy day. Took down Christmas tree and other decorations. Seems that takes longer after 50 too. lol
Here is wishing everyone in the pot a “Happy New Year.”
Happy New Year to one and all.
Just stopped in to see if my avatar was working. Took some advice from the “Hints for newcomers thread”, and am updating my profile. I will also be taking Thor’s advice in that thread regarding how we come across in writing, to heart.
Here’s to a great new year.
