CLOSED////////The Coffee Pot is still on and over 3 years. Here we gather as friends with trains.

Chief, Did you lay more track than you told us about? I never thought you would start a Garden Railroad in your front yard.

Good morning from a dark, cold and quiet Crystal Lake where I’m not working the church services - but the bride has a ‘drama sketch’ so I get to rally and ready the kids for once. Hmmm, I probably should get started instead of sitting here typing with a nice big cuppa Joe.

Got the signal light to work last night! I think the semaphore arm is burnt out but I’ll stick it somewhere - more alarming is the Birney powered by Bowser just suddently stopped. If I power it up now, I ‘hear’ the motor hum, but nothing is moving. Uh oh. Nothing ‘looks’ wrong. Rats, i think I have to open it up today and stare at it.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill…

It is a cold 28 degrees. A few snoe flurries. Only going up to 30 today. Chance of more snow laer on.

Today is a busy day. Have to catch up from being gone yesterday. I had a great day. Dropped in on an old favorite Hobby shop and then, had enough time to stop at the Train Show in Parma. Sorry I missed Tom. I was able to get a few items to finish my layout work. Now, to get busy and finish it. Nice seeing you again, John ( csxt30 ).

I will be taking a few pictures, this coming week. Will post a few.

Time for breakfast in the Dining Car. Young waitress. Later.

Y’all have a great Sunday.

Chuck

Good Morning Everyone !! No snow during the night but 6 inches coming !! Great time to be off work !! [:D]

Chuck : yep sure was good to see you yesterday & even hit the train show that we didn’t expect to !! I got a new MTH, diecast, metal, Pennsy, signal bridge !! Oh, & a Frisco boxcar that was Greg Ms !! Nice car Greg, & thanks, looks like it never came out of the box & only 10 bucks !! Then to top that off, I ran into Tom at The LHS in Willoughby on my way home !! Picked up some diecast cars there for my boys birthday !! Boy, what a day we had Chuck !! Was good to see Tom too !!

Hope everyone has a nice day & Doug : hope your motor os ok in your trolley !!

Thanks, John

Morning all. Being lazy. Got up and it was cloudy and now few sprinkles. Got to get moving and get dressed. Pam gone to teach old ladies’ class. I cooked breakfast. Got to go feed neighbor’s cats. Going to a movie in a little while. Meeting one of Pam’s girlfriends [use to work with her but retired]. Later

As of yesterday only the Lionel store pre-copy has come in, nothing on K-Line. We hope to get a shipment of catalogues this week, I don’t work again till Thurs… All the mailing lables for regular customers are made up and just waiting for the cats. He’s already has a pretty good list of pre-orders based on the store copy and the Lionel website copy.

Good morning everyone. Sitting here with a cup of coffee watching snow come down in Central OH. Unless we get 3 feet or so, I’m not interested. Just going to hang out with the kids today and watch a couple of movies. Got a bad cold, possibly sinus infection I’m nursing. Anyway…it looks like from the pix on other threads that people are taking advantage of the winter to get lots of work done. My permanent layout is still in the planning stages, at least until my other hobby is reasonably under control (restoring my old car). That is gonna be this winter and next, and then I’ll be able to do more than carpet layouts.

Take care all and stay warm if it’s cold where you are.

Dwayne.

I don’t think that’s Chief’s train…I don’t see a grits hopper! [:P]

Down to 20 from last nights balmy 39…supposed to get colder all day. About an inch of snow on the ground…hope that’s as bad as it gets. Going to take a few pics later and try to post. I’m a photographer, but I’m a film guy…haven’t mastered the electronic end quite yet.

Blueberryhill RR Sounds like you have the weather we had here yesterday…if it follows through, you’ll get some more snow tomorrow and colder*!!! brrrrrrr!!!*

Here’s The Chief’s train !! The gritts are conspicuously concealed in those cars, & he’s spreading them all over the place !! [(-D][(-D][(-D]

Thanks, John

Hi GIZ,

Nice and warm here at 32 this morning. Going to run about 8 miles today seems like a good day to run outside, nice and slow of course.

GIZ, check this out that I found on Ebay last nite. If I had and extra 3 Gs I’d bid, I think its a great deal?

Have a good one.

Laz,

That layout looks very familar to me. Is that Houdy’s layout? I remember that his layout was in his garage, and he said he might have to sell the layout.

Laz, I would bid on that, if I had the money. Trains included, that is a great deal. I love the CSX GP30.

Well, I am feeling better today. My mom went to see my dad, so I am on house duty.

I hope everyone has a good day.

It could be? Does he live in MARYLAND?

laz57

No I don’t think its HOUDYs? Heres a pic that I looked up in the archives…

Good Morning All from NE Ohio

Where the temp is 28 deg with just a dusting of snow over night.

I didn’t trun on the computor this morning, as others were starting the Sunday Photo thread. Guss, I will have to get up earlier next week.

Chief - I have the Epson CX5400 and love it. IT is now several years old and the cost of ink almost cost as much as new printer with ink. Does that printer also scan?

John - It was great seeing you again. We miss not seeing you at the museum or OTTS meeting!

Chuck - glad you made the train show and Parma Hobbies. Did you konw they have a web site? http://www.parmahobby.com/

Is summer coming soon?

Laz,

I think he does live in Maryland. Maybe some other people can help us out? I remember seeing his layout both here and the other forum.

Spreading??? Is he using grits for ballast now too??? [:P]

Remember a while back when I was looking for an Atlas SD40 in the B&O blue? I found it on the website. Scroll down. It is powered and unpowered, and the pic shows up in the unpowered box.

1500GMT in a mild +9 Stockport,

Sorry to hear so much bad and sad news. I hope you all get up Monday feeling OK, and the problems have diminished.

Been off line a few days , ERNI was having an upgrade, new 1024mb of memory, new ‘Sound blaster’ audio card, 19" monitor and various tweaks to try and clear the mess Norton and Windows Defender have made of TrainSim. I now have to re-load the lot something approaching 50gb. Is there any truth in the rumour about MS cooking up a new version of Train Sim?

Hope Lionel arrives this week, I fancy getting down to some wood butchery! My memory of balsa in model aircraft construction was that it had to be cut with a razor blade, and we used styrene glue to hold the bits together. I understand Xacto produce all the appropriate tools for today’s modeller.
