Jack

Good afternoon all!

Two more hours of work and time to lock up!

HudsonJohn - HEY! At least you included yourself in there.

Ryan - Nothing like a Pork Roll, Egg and Cheese on a hard roll! Mmmmmmmmm!

Banks - Sorry to hear about your pet. Like RJ, I have a Husky and she’s a great friend.

Fifedog - You’re right about “running” into a triple play. You could see it in his face that he regretted going for second.

JoeD - Some of this winning has made us forget about the so-so start! Just hope it continues. Next game is Tue night.

Kev - Whats the wife gonna say about a HAZMAT cabinet in the den? Nothing… it is MY Den! The up side of going through three wifes. DFWM

Afternoon all!

Warming up here. Already 75. Nice and warm out today!

Went out and got some mulch today for the small flower beds we have left after removing most of them last year.

The wife got some flowers from the church sale so we will be doing a little gardening this afternoon.

Here are a couple:

Thanks, I needed that!!! JACK.

Evening guys

BANKS, sorry for your loss. I’ve lost a lot of good ones along the way, it ain’t easy to take, I know

BBQ was GREAT 1st one of the year. Many more to come. wish it was a tad warmer though

Jeffery. Love the pic of the Lehigh Valley Loco… I always liked that one [:-^]

Jeff, I was also thinking, I joined the forum about a year after you, on the MRR side. Your layout and photo taking skills have evolved into master pieces. Back in the day of the old “Key Chain” camera to where your at now is fantastic. and as with most of the people on here, I am continually impressed with how you do SO MUCH with so little.

gotta run, I mean lay around and enjoy some home alone time… [tup]

Ryan

Just making do with what I have. I collect all manner of old and junk model railroad stuff that I can get for little or nothing. Never know what can be useful on a project. One of my locos was built with parts from eight different manufacturers and not all of them were made to work together. That’s one of those cases where if it doesn’t fit cut some off and hit it with a bigger hammer.

Mr. Doug Murphy’s law [:S] tell your wife . HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KELLY!!! [Y] [^]

Chain Saw # 2 460 Rancher with a 24" bar is up and running. [;)]

Lots to do and then catch up but not till after the race. Tomorrow u’all.

BTW, I told the wife she has to make dinner tonight. [:(] i may starve to death by tomorrow. [swg]

Good afternoon all,

Late checking in today and send prayers for those in need.

Our dishwasher is acting up lately after using the new power ball type dishwashing soap. It is prepackaged and designed to dissolve in hot water. We have a spring loaded door that holds this dishwashing soap and is suppose to release during the cycle. Lately though the powerball stuff is getting stuck in the holder and sometimes prevents the door from opening. It gets sticky and gummy when partially wet/hot. Don’t know what’s happening but probably go back to regualar dishwashing soap. Also plan to run some stuff through the machine to dissolve hard water deposits.

Watched some of the Masters golf tournement today. Tiger got a two stroke penalty for something that happened yesterday late in the round. I think he made an illegal drop after hitting into some water but don’t really know what happened The officials didn’t notice it yesterday and did not confront him until this morning. Some guys say that under the old rules he would have had to withdraw from the tournement but the rules have changed so now he stays in. Probably be a lot of controversy if he wins. Anyway, I’m rooting for Fred Couples. He’s overdue.

later,

Ray

Evening all not a lot going on tonight. been running most of the day. ( wife wanted to go here and wanted to go there ect ect lol hope all had a good day and tomorrow is just as good as can be also.

Spent most of the day at the PA RR Museum in 4 - 45 minute training sessions. They like to stretch things out. Started at 10:15 AM and lasted to 3:00 PM. That shot most of the day. 8 to 12 would make a lot more sense to me. Did learn a few new things, but not a days worth. Weather here today was great. Sunny with some wind and a high of abut 65.

Got the layout cleaned up a little more today. Also gave my H24-66 and U30E645 a good run. Four of the FP7’s are parked on the shop track.

Time for me to call it a night. See y’all tomorrow.

Good evening.

Went to the Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport New York. Saw a wrecked P-40N that was brought up from Florida. Apparently it was involved in a midair back in '45. Sat in the swamp for about 40 years afterwards. Several other aircraft were also there. Models of the S-E-5, Sopwith with Snoopy in it, Fokker DVII, and a model of the Spad XIII that Rickenbacker flew.

Then went to the aviation museum in Elmira New York. There I saw an ill-fated father to the Skyraider. Also had a German “Salamander”, an A7 Corsair II, F-14 Tomcat, F-15 Eagle, A-10 Thunderbolt II, F4 Phantom II, MiG 21 and an Avenger.

Getting late, should head up soon.

Night.

Good evening all,

It was cool in SE Indiana today. Reffed 2 soccer games this morning, an American sport. Rested. Went to local historical society dinner where we listened to a program about Carl Fisher, one of the founders of the IMS and a major player in getting the Lincoln Highway (US 30) as well as the Dixie Highway built. Saw where Princess was 28th tonight after barely making the show. Hmmmm. I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Konbanwa,

It’s a little after 6:30 PM now and we’ve had a nice Sunday. We went to Sunday school and church this morning and then relaxed in the afternoon. I had a brief nap, watched some recorded UFC fights, and then played some baseball with the older son. We’re finishing some leftovers for dinner tonight. I also spent some time today starting my first attempt at making my own bacon. We bought a small section of pork belly yesterday and today I covered it in salt, pepper, and honey and placed it in the fridge to cure. After seven days I will take it out and smoke it. We’ll see how it goes, but at least I know what went into it.

Fife/AF Ray – I’m just hoping the Yankees can play .500-ball until a few more of the regulars get back into the lineup. The Orioles got them last night.

Happy Birthday to Mrs. Murphy!

Sayonara,

Joe

Happy Birthday Mrs. Murphy![bday]

Good morning. It’s 58° with 87% humidity. There’s a slight chance of rain. The high will be 80°.

Layout cleanup is going well. I can actually see the layout through the clutter. I should be able to get more of it put away or disposed of today depending on what it is. Some of it is tools that need to be sorted into their particular places. I may get started on the repainting of some of the FP7’s today.

JEFELECTRIC, the PA RR museum, thats the one across from the Strasburg RR, correct?

Between the TCA and the PA museum, you don’t get out of Strasburg, much do ya?

I love Strasburg, I wouldn’t leave either

Anyway, I finally SLEPT last night!!!

gonna run in to market, I think Pancakes and sausage are in order for this AM

I got steaks for the grill for later. hope the weather warms up a tad more, as the frosty tops will be a tad more enjoyable while tending the grill

Ryan
