This was sold at the “Train & Hobby Shop” inside the park in the 1980s(?).

I was impressed by the MTL product that Heathmiester introduced (the thread). It was a 60’ boxcar called “Save the Monarch (Butterfly).”
There have been several HO-scale models in the past that imitate the special designs of the real car. Have you ever actually seen them?

Just to join in from this side of the pond.
Peak Ales Brewery never had any rail wagons, but had some models commissioned just before Christmas 2024. As mentioned earlier I do not for such memorabilia, but this one I like.

Beer is certainly a good theme for fantasy models. I don’t drink much, but I like the models. In particular, it has been my dream for many years to get my hands on a beer can tank car. Look at the wide range of N-scale models from Atlas (website). I wonder why they don’t sell them in HO-scale.

Not buying this.

Yes, the whole world is familiar with this shape. Manufacturers just change the surface scheme a little.

Yes, I once tried to find a beer can that would fit in HO scale. Oscar & Piker was also released in HO scale. A miniature whiskey bottle would be…

You mentioned Oscar and Piker. Okay, I’ll admit it. I do have one of them, relettered for a short line on my layout.

Wow, this is amazing! Now I understand what York1 was excited about!
The color tone seems a bit off, which may be due to the white balance of your camera. How about changing the setting to “fluorescent light”?

Athearn stock#8507 relesed in 2006(?). It’s a shame that the “WINE ONLY” lettering on both sides of the dome is too small and difficult to read.

As the content of our posts has changed, I’ve added “Fantasy” to the thread title.

Its just a quick pic with my iphone

I understand why there was camera shake despite the resolution being so high. However, the iPhone should automatically adjust the white balance. There may be times when it doesn’t work well.

I regret that you didn’t use a proper camera. Even I use the cheapest DSLR camera for beginners, which I put on a tripod. Nowadays it would be a MILC (Mirrorless Interchangeable-Lens Camera).

Also, retouching software is essential for model photography. I use PhotoShop Elements for amateurs, which I bought 16 years ago. This time I used it to edit your photo.

You create such wonderful work, so I can’t help but wish you could spend a little more money on your camera.

I do have a very good camera for magazine article pics. Iphone is plenty hood for quick forum shots.
