Hi
I’m going to be in the Cumberland/Frostburg area in a couple of weeks and wonder where is the best hotspot to do railfanning?
Sandy
Sandy…Surely if you will be visiting the area you know about the Western Maryland Scenic R R…It works between Cumberland and Frostburg area. Contact it at the ex Western Maryland Passenger Station in Cumberland. It is right off an exit of I-68 as you come down into Cumberland. If you do NOT know about it go to Google and type it into info request and read all about it…details, etc.
Glad to see some chatter on here from the east once…Beginning to think the computer hasn’t reached that far.
…Oops, just noticed the Ca. location…[for Sandy], so you very well may not know about the WM Scenic RR.
Put on your hiking shoes and check out Sand Patch and Salt Lick curve.
stay safe
