First and Formost congrats to Zardoz for reaching your goal!! I know one thing, it is hard to stick to a regular schedule to keep in shape. I know sometimes I skip going to the gym when it’s my day to go. [:(]
YAY!!! I finally stopped in durring din din time. I think, I know I’ll grab a bowl of Chicken and Dumplings! I also think I might eat some of that Mexican food also!! MMMMmm…[dinner]
I want to thank everyone for wishing me luck, and congrats here in the diner. [:D] I really do appreciate it.
Well, it was a nice cool day here in Louisville for a change; it was actually comfortable outside!! But, here’s the kicker I had a meeting today at work so, I didn’t get a chance to work in comfortable weather. Maybe it’ll be the same way tomorrow. I think I’ll take the camera just incase I see something interesting on the job. hehehehe [;)]
Mudchicken, if the Ford previously mentioned has a diesel engine, GET RID OF IT ASAP!!! Ford is still having a problem keeping turbochargers in the new 6.4 liters, and the 6 liters have engine durability problems. Should have went for the Duramax or the Cummins. Ford’s gassers are a bit underpowered for their trucks as well…
Anyway, survived another day of range practice at training, slowly getting better at handling these things.
Will grab some dinner and a booth and watch the comedy show unfolding…
Good Tuesday morning, everyone! Very nice and comfortable this morning, slept very well last night. May be in for some showers later, around mid morning, early afternoon. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Looks like we had a slow night in here last night. But, coffee is on and ready. I’ve got fresh juice (apple, orange, orange/tangerine, pineapple/banana, and hot water for tea or hot cocoa.
On the warmer bar this morning: turkey bacon, sausage, homemade buttermilk biscuits, with sausage gravy, hash browns, fried taters, oatmeal, toast. In the cooler: cantaloupe chunks and watermelon and mush melon chunks and fresh cherries.
Everyone have a good morning, and I’ll see you all after I get through with Tuesday Produce.
Well! Know what 3.5 inches of rain at our house in less than an hour looks like the morning after? Absolutely nothing. A puddle or two here and there, but we seem to have a great sewer system and even with clay ground, there is no water left over.
We weren’t supposed to have much rain, but Willy came back into the area and set off the sprinkler system!
MC - an early Birthday Present from your company! How nice. Guess you can tell they hold you in the highest esteem! (Darn, there is no tongue-in-cheek smiley face!) I met Trigger a few times and it just won’t be the same seeing the Wild Chicken come into Lincoln in a newer horse. Never fear, tho - a couple of good beatings up and down some of the roads you travel and Lurch will become Lump and you can get a good truck!
CW - Joe can help me make some hot tea this morning, will grab some toast (Dan, need some peanut butter on it) and I am going to go out on the patio and watch the birdies and squirrels. Gotta little chocolate hang over this morning - not sure why.
here ya go mookie.even with yesterdays rain it soaked in real good and its alot cooler today.highs near 70.thats good.the circus train came by work last night.should be going by carls place sometime today(dont know where they walk the animals at).a lady at work gave matt an early birthday present.4 tickets for friday to go see the mudhens in toledo with fireworks too!!! going to be a busy weekend as usual.
Gus R. Scottie is gonna have to have some serious help before he gets behind the wheel of this thing. Doogie and Nige walked up to it last night and tilted at the back tire. "Nuf sed…
Randy: It’s a gas burner. The holes in the floor don’t even have chain sprockets and pedals underneath. So we are back to Fred Flintstone technology…
Wow, I don’t make it back after Tuesday Produce, and it seems like just about everybody else jumped from the train today!!
On the warmer bar for supper tonight, you will find:
beef tips portobello w/gravy, mashed taters, and a veggie medley of broccoli and carrots.
DESSERT TONIGHT: caramel Apple Crisp.
Joe and Lance, there are containers for you two to take to work tonight, in the fridge, with your names on them.
DAN: send me an email, and let me know what you got into in here earlier, that required sweeping, and emptying the garbage! (I see the new, empty bags in the trash cans.)
Ok, why does it look like Hong Kong Phooey was just in here?? //sweeps up mess, puts same in trash…
There, that looks better…
Did the truck rodeo thing in class today, should have no problem passing the skills test tomorrow, then it should be practice out on the road. Steer clear of a white Kenworth T2000 with an extra door on the drivers’ side, and “student driver” markings all over the truck and trailer…
Will have some of whatever is for dinner (forgot to look at the menu)…
I always wondered what all those shiny kitchen utensils were for! Seems as though some were partial to gravity. Replacements are on the way. Nobody needed the blender and the cappucino maker, did they? [angel] I know better than to mess with the coffee pot and the layouts! I guess there’s a bit of kitty in me if I get left alone for too long. Curiosity you know…ooh…what’s that?
Well… I’m back from New York City. Here’s a quick little summary of the trip in case anyone is interested.
We saw three Broadway shows and one off-Broadway show. The off-Broadway show was Altar Boyz. It was funny, but a bit wierd. The Broadway shows were Phantom of the Opera, Hairspray, and Spamalot. Phantom was absolutely incredible and the other two were very good and funny also.
We went to the Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, Radio City Music Hall, and Central Park.
It rained four inches Sunday night and Monday, but I guess that’s nothing compared to Mookie’s 3.5 inches in an hour.
So, it was really an excellent trip, but nobody got much sleep. However, when you’re in New York City, sleep really isn’t the first thing on your mind. You want to pack as much into the trip as possible, which is exactly what we did.
There you have it: Four days in New York City in a two minute read. I’m just too tired to go into detail right now. Maybe each day this week I’ll go into detail on a certain show or tourist spot.
