Dan, thanks for taking over the “Cooks Duties”, I know that it’s appreciated.
Duff, that is a very adorable picture of Sadie, and I understand why you’re so proud.
Mookie, could have used some of that “daylight” getting one person off to work, and another one off to the doctors office. I think I’m ready for a nap!!
Walt I guess I got spoiled because our humidity has left the building for a while and lately mornings have been pretty nice! I don’t mind helping out, heck it’s only fair! I get to play mechanic at work today. We’ve got 4 pieces of equipment that need some TLC and I drew the short straw! Kidding…I like tinkering with things. The more expensive, the more fun! One of our treadmills cost several thousand dollars and I have to replace several parts inside the motor of one and the computer on another. If anyone smells smoke later it’s because I’m coming back from getting electrocuted!
It is going to be beautiful here today. Lots of sunshine and a high near 80 degrees. I shouldn’t forget the fact that dewpoints are going to be in the 50s rather than 60s and 70s too. However, it looks like by Monday and Tuesday we could be facing upper 90s for highs. Crazy Nebraska weather.
In any event, it looks like a nice day to go to a baseball game. Of course I’m sure that the Omaha Royals will suffer a horrible defeat since they seem to lose every game I go to. Perhaps someday I’ll be banned from going to ballgames. [:O]
Willy - it can’t be that - you don’t go to any of the Husker FB games…
So now we are down to just the College World Series as a showpiece…
Dan - can you reach the peanut butter for me? And don’t any of you laugh while I try to get it off the roof of ma mouf…
Walt - did she say “Ahhh”?
Sir Chicken - if you wash de Boyz, do they fade?
I think I have my eyes open a little now. I wasn’t sure this morning if I could do 1.5 more days or not, but I might just make it, now. Daughter in town - Mookie is going to get a ride through town in a canary yellow Mustang convertible - with the top down. It will take weeks before I get back to anything close to normal. Wonder if the darn thing has an anchor and parachute…
I need to lie down awhile…think I am having a panic attack…
Here you go Mook. I won’t laugh a bit-promise! I will take the chunky and get that ready for later.
Since there was lots of steak and taters left from yesterday I’ll get the grill out and heat 'em up again. I also have some french fries ready (Plate for Matt!) and for dessert will be strawberry cheesecake!
Gus hates water anyplace except in the bowl next to the kibble. He won’t fade but he might melt.
All three have their monthly trip to the groomers on Saturday. Gus will volunteer to be the test unwashed control subject in a test if you get the other two (Nigel & Doogie) washed…
ps- Scotties swim like rocks, so they are watched carefully around lakes and small streams.
Well, I made it back from my colonoscopy. I’m beginning to get a little bit sleepy, so will be going to lie down for awhile. Everything went all right: did find out I have diverticulosis. So now, I’m going to have to watch what I eat, and make sure I eat plenty of high fiber foods. When I awoke, they told me a list of beverages I could have, and I selected Sierra Mist. Boy, did that taste good!! And as soon as I got home, I put a pot of coffee on. Drinking my first cup, now.
For supper tonight, before I left this morning, I put in the Crock Pots, some beef stew, and I’ll be putting cornbread in the oven, in just a little bit. How does that sound to everyone?!?! Well, it’s off to sleepy town for me for a few. Wonder if there’s a cool breeze blowing out on the patio. Will find out.
Sorry to hear you were subject to a colonoscopy , certainly not the best way to spend a day . I have many humorous colonoscopy stories I could share with you at some point … another time perhaps …
woke up to a nice gentle rain.we will take all we can get.matt appreciates the fries.CW dont worry about things here in the diner. You have plenty of hands and paws to help out.wont need a plate for work tonight we have having chili dogs for lunch.
Well, the Omaha Royals won nine to nothing. They just killed the other team. On top of that, I won four free movie tickets by playing one of the between innings games. Not too bad of a way to spend an afternoon!
CW - Take it easy and rest. We’ll keep everything going here in the Diner.
