Nice to see you Duff and Sadie
SADIE IS ALREADY WALKING?![:O][:O]
Gotta be a “child prodigy” [swg]
You know you all are welcome any time.
(you gotta do what you have to do with “Little Ones”)
(and I doubt seriously that anybody will mind)
I’m very sure Matt will share fries with you all, he’s been very good to the rest of us.
Dan, thanks for that info. will definitely have to look into it.
Was already thinking about those “fake” video cameras.
And for Quentin, just finis
Duff - Adorable picture of Sadie!
The weather did it again. A cold front moved through last night with a dry frontal passage. Now this morning and afternoon, thunderstorms have sparked along it just south of us. In fact, one spot reported 4.80 inches of rain in 90 minutes. Now I know that’s not good, but I think it would be exciting to experience something like that. Meanwhile, here in Omaha, we’re high and dry and will stay that way for at least a week. [:(!]
Chris - I’ll see what I can do about keeping the heat out of the Denver area, but it is summer, you know.
Duff & Sadie - Good to see you in here. Stop by more often if you get the time!
Willy - If you get a chance in the August time frame, take a trip out this way. The monsoon machine should be in high gear, and we’ll get rains in the 2-3"/Hour bracket. Kind of impressive to see, but a real pain to drive in!
Afternoon all. It’s much less muggy here so thanks for that Willy. The sunshine is nice today, too!
How come it’s been pretty quiet in here lately? Did I miss a memo or something? Oh wait…summertime = people being outdoors. DOH!
Thanks for the great weather Willy. Last week we had lots of rain. Now we have heat and humidity and the corn here in Mercer County must be 6 feet tall. Could be a bumper crop. With temps moderating a little, Barbara and I are cruising up the Miss Sipp to Dubuque tomorrow, returning Friday night. I just LOVE retirement. Maybe I can get a nice pic of the UP bridge at Clinton IA.
Hot, Humid, and WINDY. I can see the tops of the thunderheads that are nailing the folks just to the south of us, and we are just outside the SVR TSTRM watch areas. It’s 89 right now at the Watertown airport…
Might make a hot weekend on the railroad, but there is rain in the forecast for Sunday…
…My instrument indicates 90.5 @ 4:31 here in central In. Possible thunder boomers this evening in some locations. 2.96" of rain since last Thursday since we started to get a bit of rain after the long many dry weeks.
We had a chance at rain this morning but it didn’t materialize. It’s about 83 degrees, sunny, and not muggy!
What do people want for dinner today?
CW said something about leftovers, but if you have a ‘special’ I’ll chow down.
Let me see what I can come up with. Give me about 30ish minutes.

After reading this “dog story” about a mutt named “Dirty Harry”, leftovers sound just fine…washed down with copious amounts of Gatorade.
That is a cute story. I was thinking of steak and baked potatoes on the grill tonite so they’ll be ready in about half an hour. I had some steak leftover from the weekend and about 15 pounds of 'taters. For toppings there’ll be sour cream, butter, cheese, and bacon bits. I think there’s some greens left over from the salads the other day so we’ll put those out too. Enjoy! [C=:-)]
clouds getting darker and darker matt and I moved inside. will take leftovers for supper.matt and I saw a train going over the clinton st viaduct and a truck turning to avoid it.then we come home and read in the paper where a dump truck was damaged by trying to drive under it.anyone paying atention to all the signs they have posted.
stay safe
Joe
He seems to be quite the upstanding pooch, too…turning down fried chicken and all! [;)]
By your signature I doubt it! Unless there’s a shortage of viaducts that would necessitate the rest to be delivered somewhere…
We had a cold front come through here yesterday afternoon, and right now the conditions here in Sioux Falls are much more comfortable. At the present moment we have a temp of 81 degrees and the wind is out of the north at 14 mph. And one more thing…the humidity is 33%, and that makes a huge difference here, as at this time of the year it could be much higher than that. Perhaps Willy has been doing something constructive with his weather machine. The guy who does my yard for me was telling me that he sure wishes it would rain here. And I must admit, it is kind of dry here.
I had a late lunch after finishing work at Wendy’s, I had a bacon & cheese potato, the Black Forest Ham & Swiss Frescata sandwich, a medium Sprite and a medium chocolate Frosty. I walked into a disaster this morning at Wendy’s, there was a ton of stuff waiting to be washed, which I figure was left over by who ever had closed up last night, and every time I’d turn around the manager would be asking me to do something else. So all in all it has been a pretty busy day for me. I won’t complain though, I’m just happy to have a job to report to!

Go figure…bunch of tough guys and all that…[;)]
Pretty quiet in here today. I guess I’ll take the leftover steaks and taters and put em im foil for another day.
…M C: The “Dirty Harry” story was about the best one I’ve read on here today. Must have been Ill treated in the past that no one can get close to him to pet him…Glad he finally got a home.
