I’m getting ready to go to the library, so just stopped in, to let you all know that there are plenty of leftovers in the fridge, from yesterday and Monday. Please, just help yourselves to whatever you want for your lunch, and I’ll see you all when I get back later this afternoon.
Lunch! Finally I can see over the piles of paper. It has been a very hectic last 30 or so days!Anyway, maybe I can stay on top of some of the goings on in the forum now.
Joe: Don’t tell Matt, but I had a short funeral in the backyard this morning. Driver found a sick turtledove last nite when he was putting clean water in the bird bowls. It was on the ground all nite and then went quietly sometime during the nite. I had a short funeral at 4:30 am with interment in the garbage can. I used a broom handle to check for rigor and a plastic sack for a casket. A moment of mourning and a few tears and then as per most funerals, breakfast followed.
Had one several months ago - a starling flew in to get a drink of water and while the Driver watched, it fell over dead in the water bowl. I know Lincoln’s water is hard, but we have never suffered ill-effects like that!
Wish the wildlife would find someone else’s yard to practice their lack of oxygen pose…
MC - Millie shares the garage with a little boy right now. Neighbor has a VW sportmobile - black. Have a place cleared for the Bigboy whenever they want to deliver it. And she wants to know why you don’t come up and see her sometime!
CW - leftovers have a big hole in them…wonder what happened.
See our native son Warren is at it again - 25% now. I am excited.
Haven’t heard from Houston Ed - but almost cringe when I see the weather channel…Think he would settle for a “blizzard” now instead of so much water? Willy? Pull a plug somewhere?
Tree - burned down another house last nite. Had a compressor and a partly restored car in garage - poof…now they have a partly destroyed house.
Mutt - I told the “Old Engineer” that I mention him occasionally on the forum and that you gave me an old CBQ spike. He actually smiled about al

Cw will take whatever is in the container for supper.matt had a fire drill today at school.on a sad note we lost our represenative and a morning waker upper.paul gilmor was our nw ohio represenitive and helped alot of projects along. Bob Seivers was a morning host on WOWO radio out of ft wayne indiana. We heard"little red barn" alot growing up.when wowo had its power cranked you could pick them up all along the east coast.he even gave warnings to ships at sea.
Walt: That’s why the squirrels have been after me. Quoting Monty Python here: “Run Away! Run Away!” I could help them out by redirecting them towards Rochester, MN perhaps… or just use the trusty .22! Hehe…[}:)]
Brian: Be careful going too close to the closet with the anti-gas stuff especially within 24 hours of the Fiesta.
College started back up at UW-Oshkosh today. Man it was nice not to worry about that for a change.
…Joe: That is a sad note, referring to Bob Seivers…Didn’t know anything about his passing until I saw your mention of it. He went back a long way on WOWO…50,000 watts, clear channel. Doesn’t that station have that power {at night}, anymore…? I really don’t listen to it at night but do hit it some in the morning for some nutty political talk. {Years ago I heard that station in Florida}…And of course we could easily get it in my home state of Pennsylvania {at night}…but WBZA…{not sure of those call letters}, Boston, was right next to it on the dial and it too had 50,000 watts.
Item: On the way to the barber shop this morning, I turned to 1190 on the dial, and it wasn’t broadcasting…?? Was it shut down a few min. for Bob possibly…??
