I lost some stuff on this computer last week, and one of them seems to be the plug in needed to watch the Dutch railcam. I can access the site OK, but the video won’t run and it doesn’t tell me what’s missing. Any ideas? TIA
Tom…Believe you can find it at: www.railcam.nl/
That’s not the problem. I can get to the site, but the video won’t open. It won’t tell me why. This happened once before and it was a missing plug in. Don’t know what it was.
What player do you use and do your have the correct file associations for that player? I use a Firefox Browser, but I use Windows Media Player to view the stream.
Finally, after two days of trying, I got a notice that a Windows media player add-on was needed.I told it to install it and an Active-X downloaded. After that, everything is kopasthetic. Thanks guys. Sorry to bother you. BTW, I use explorer 8 svc pack 3.
Tom…do you notice any advantgage with SP 3 over SP 2…? I tried to download SP 3 perhaps a year ago, and it will only go so far and will not complete the installation. So, I’m still with SP 2.
SP2 began acting up with all sorts of problems, so much so that I told a friend I wondered if there was planned obsolescence involved. I pretty much HAD to go to SP3. There are certain features of SP3 that I do not care for, and if your SP2 is working OK, I would advise that you keep it until you have to change, Just my opine.
Fine…It {SP 2}, seems to be ok with this operation. The only trouble is the reminder {small}, window telling me almost every day: That an update is ready to download…and it’s that SP 3 that I can’t download, and now with your info, don’t care to. Anyone know how to get rid of the continuing window telling me it’s ready, etc…? I’ve tried many times and have not succeeded.
