Did you folks notices I seemed to stop in mid post?
I just remember I need to make a Electric payment on line and tried to. I got a Code 14 and the card was declined? Called the electric company and I was told code 14 meant I was DEAD? [(-D] Guess the VA is putting out the Word! [:-^]
Just got off the phone with my Bank (NOT BANK OF STUPID) and the teller enter the wrong deposit code.Guess I should not have been flirting with her! [:D] I have known her for 20 years now, she is cute.
OK, back to the rest of the day.
Took Sue for her Stress Test today. She was all worked over nothing and passed with flying colors! Reason she refused to take the test the first time was because they where going to give her a I V that would make here heart beat faster. She did not like that idea and wanted to do the treadmill! Doctor said no and I agreed! Her back is a mess and her knees are just as bad!
Test went fine and she was in and out in about 1 hour with the I V. Her main worry was her heart would not slow down. It was a tad slower coming out than going in.
Far as my self, toe is still fat, but color looks good. I will see what it looks like Saturday.
See you all later Ken
With us being in Noblesville Ind and all, Go Monon! [:D]
Seems the site shut down for a few minutes while I was trying to post! I really like the save feature we have now! [:D]
Ken
Afternoon folks!
Chloe, just a glass of ice tea while I decide what to have for supper tonight.
Got about 2/3rds. of the lawn mowed this afternoon. Mower ran out of Battery energy the same time I did so it is back in the shed recharging and I am sitting here at the computer typing… have all the “Hazardous Waste” recyclables packed away in the truck for the trip to the county landfill collection is done. May actually get a bit more done in the train rooms tonight.
Jeffrey, I guess we can either call you a “Redskin” or a true Redneck for a while? Seriously hope the burn improves soon. Sunburn is not a good thing. I also take a couple medicines that say to be careful not to be out in the sun without extra strong sunblock. Then My dermatologist tells me to go sit in the sun for 30 minutes a day…
Jim, Hmmm. Never heard of “Person of Interest”… Of course, I gave up watching the idiot box years ago and don’t miss it at all! As far as them looking over my shoulder, 1. They do not have any access to any of my computers (they would need a password to be able to access it). and 2. There is really not anything of interest stored on here anyway that couldn’t be intercepted with some types of software from most any computer company. The connection to their equipment is all they can access and that connection is separate from the computer. It does go through the router, bu
Too bad but the Monon didn’t run through Noblesville.
Howdy … Keep wondering about Ulrich. hope he returns very soon.
Curt … Praying fir your family situation.
Remember the light bulb jokes? “How many people does it take to change a light bulb?”… Well, it’s not funny to me anymore. A firend and I spent a long time trying to change the front turn signal bulb in Shelley’s car… Wow! After removing a zliion fasteners and screws from the front end, we still could not get into the dang thing! I will have to take the car to a shop with a hoist and pay a mechanic to wok from under the car.
Yep. It’s a rant.

Reminds me of a Dodge Omni I once owned. Seemed like half the front end had to come off to replace a headlight.

Time for me to call it a night. See y’all tomorrow.
Garry
I gotta ask, what kind of car??
Evenin’ folks!
Janie, just a decaf please…
Got the rest of the ballast in place on the upper staging tonight. My back will pay for it tomorrow!
Just about time to turn in for the night. To what, I don’t know…?
Hope you all have a peaceful and pleasant night! Prayers for all in need.

Good Morning! from Tipton IN.
Saturday, September 22, 2012
East bound NKP train crosses the IMC Dist. on the NKP (now NS) at Tipton IN.
The building (now gone) was known as “RF”.
Good Morning!
I am back!
It was a close call this time, but apparently He did not see it fit for me to stay with Him. I was out for over a week, but somehow got back. Fortunately, I don´t remember what happened - all I know is that my old ticker must have stopped. It needed a little more than a jumper cable to get it started again. Certainly, I don´t want that to happen again, as I don´t know how many of my nine lives I have spent so far.
I still feel weak sore all over. I will have to play a low key note in the coming months. It could mean, that I am eligible for early retirement, which would not improve our financial situation at all. At the moment I don´t want to think about it, I am just concentrating on getting back on my feet.
Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.
Morning Coffee in The Diner
GOOD MORNING!!!
Bill has provided the date.
Sometimes we have to “call a thing a thing”. SO:
thing - an nameless object, subject, person, place, concept, thought, feeling, state, situation, etc :
thing is one of the most commonly used words in language, yet its origins are rarely considered, strangely, since they are very interesting. Thing is first recorded in English in the late 7th century when it meant a meeting or assembly. The assembly meaning equates to cognates (words of the same root) in old German (‘ding’) and (‘ding’ and later ‘thing’) in Norse (Denmark, Sweden, Norway), Frisian (Dutch) and Icelandic. The Viking age and Danelaw (Viking rule) in Britain from the 8th to the 10th centuries reinforced the meeting/assembly meaning of the word thing, during which time for example, Thing was the formal name of a Viking ‘parliament’ in the Wirral, in the North-West of England. Thingwall or Dingwall meant ‘meeting field’ in Norse, and was the root of Tynwald, the Isle of Man parliament, and Thingvellir, the Iceland parliament, now the Althingi. The village of Thingwall in the Wirral remains close to where the assembly met, and a nearby field at Cross Hill is thought to be the exact spot. A place called Dingesmere (literally ‘assembly-marshland’ - interpreted by some now to mean: 'assembly here, but be caref
good morning, all. Been in touch with Jerry . He is o.k., has his bad days but Sallie is having a difficult time. This ,of course ways heavily on Jerry. Not doing much with his layout but running them keeps him sane. Needs our continued prayers so like so many of us.
To darn many pages to go back and read. Job driving me up a wall. Trains are calling but no time to answer. Wish y’all a nice weekend and good/better health.

Good Morning All:
Ken, all that trepidation and Sue passed the stress test with no problem, that’s good news. Sorry to hear your dead, LOL, what is Sue doing with all your train stuff?
Ulrich, you need to cut that out and stay healthy! I’m glad to see you back in the diner and that you seem to have some good doctors watching over your health.
Garry, $9 at Lube Stop, take the new headlight with you. Actually it only costs 50 cents if you figure the $8.50 you’ll spend on aspirin for all the headaches of changing it yourself.
Paul, thoughts and prayers for both of you until this whole mess is figured out!
Curt, wholly Toledo, how old is your son? If you need anything let us know…
Teen Steam Fan, that’s easy, it’s at the end of the upper radiator hose….
T-13 days until the Train Show at the Cuyahoga County Fair Grounds
Good morning. It’s 68° with 93% humidity and patchy fog. It’ll be partly cloudy today and the high will be 92°.
No plans for today except to stay in and stay off my feet as much as possible. Got a lot of movie watching to do. Started watching ‘Titan a.e.’ last night. I’ll finish that up today then start in on something else. No layout work planned but something could crop up.
Weird, the forum shut down yesterday. But I actually did some modeling:
Modified the stock stewart tank to have something showing where the skirt was removed: This image is reduced by 22%, click it to view full size. This image is reduced by 22%, click it to view full size.

http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=2331166 For some reason it looks kinda off to me, something about the gap seems strange. Looking at the proto photo, I think like the entire tank itself may be too low. It’s in the stock location, so maybe the stewart tank sits too low
Good morning, Diners. For some reason, I couldn’t access the MR forum yesterday. Looks like everything is fine today.
HI, Ulrich, We missed you. Glad to have you back. Get well.
I wonder how Curt is doing.
MR meeting on Friday was on maintaining locos. The couple who hosted the meeting have an outside MR that you can ride on. Fun! He has a huge HO layout in the basement. It is a wonderful basement.
Later, Sue
Morning Gear Jammer et all
