Now you know why the old timers would take their wedges to a welding shop to have the curled edges cut off.
Hello …
I hope everyone is making plans for the big ham festival: http://www.hamfestival.com/
I’m glad PC could tell us a little about C&O Terry. I’ve been wooried we have not heard from him. Maybe Terry can get on a computer soon and visit the diner.
PC …CONGATS! … “Pastor Philip” I like that. It has a nice sound. It sounds much better than “Dr Phil”.
Jeff … I like what you did to the GP40! You might consider weatehring it becasue many of the Rio Grande locomotives I saw were dirty.
Dick … it’s good of you to mention the log splitting risks. I recall getting a huge splinter stuck in my leg when I split logs years ago. Not good. Don’t forget that ladders can be hazardous too!
Fergie … Good! I bet you will waste no time. Big curves are coming to the MESS!
Jim CG … you mentioned something about Dick and a Blomberg article. What was that?
Tom W… I’m glad you like your Audi. This Porsche was a really nice car in its day, but it’s over the hill now. It’ll be fun to mess around with it I hope. Meanwhile, I have my Chevy truck and it’s great with zero mechanical problems over thesix years I’ve had it. Shelley’s current car is a Caddy and it too is very well built. In years gone by, she had 3 Audi’s, 1 BMW, and 1 Infiniti. The Infiniti was the car before the Caddy, and I did not like driving it at all because it gave me leg cramps on long trips. Audi’s were comfortable to drive. My vehicles have been mostly GM products.
Actually, there was one mechanical problem with the truck. I had it parked outside one night. I started it and the surpentine belt broke. Shelley’s bloody furless cat raced away. Under the hood I found tons of cat fur with the broken belt. The cat used up one of its nine lives.
Happy Model Railroading
Dick: … Seriously now[:-,] We don’t need any wubber ducks to figure that one out as my pics will show a few bergs are already on their way. Actually several of us, onboard the Hudson, commented that we have never seen so many Icebergs or such large bergs in Lancaster Sound prior to this year. Not a good sign.
Fergie
Good Morning All…Its sunny and 72 here…I’ll have a mid morning cup of coffee and a sweet roll please…Thank You…
PC…Pastor Phil…I know that you will be a blessing to all you serve…I think we should make you Chaplin of the Dinner…
Garry…Looks like a fine set of wheels…Looks like its doing 120 just setting there…I can’t make it to the Hamfest but with my love of all things Pork I’ll be there in spirit…
Jeff…Nice patch job on the GP 40…Those old atlas engines will run forever and pull the paper off the wall too!!..
Probaly not much railroading for me again today as I need to set with my feet up…You all have a good one…Jerry
So much for the global warming, melting polar ice caps theory…[X-)]
You think I’m up to handling such a rowdy and unruly bunch? [swg]
All,
This here is a man that speaks the truth!
Thanks!
We’re minus a neighbor here. My neighbor across the road to the south of me passed on last night. He was in his 90’s. He kept going right on up to the end. I saw him working out in the yard Tuesday afternoon.
Hi, Zoe - I’ll have a BLT, cheesey fries and a RBF, please. Thanks. [dinner]
Sawyer, WAY TO GO! I’m sure your entire team is feeling pretty good today. And I’d second PC’s comments - keep that attitude and playing going, and it should continue to be a great season! [yeah][bow]
Tom, you had me wondering there - I thought you meant you got rid of your TV! [:O] Good to hear a few jars of Gerbers has picked up Lowell’s mood. Hey, he’s worth the [2c], right? (Even if he does eat you out of house and home…[:-^]) That tank train sounds like you’re moving along there.
Jeff. I’d have to agree - I like this Rio Grande paint mod better. [tup] It does look like the prototypes would do (well, if they were conserving their paint money).[yeah]
Gav, hope your bunch this term and year continue to be an improvement over the previous tenants you had. Raise a cup o’tea to that (my treat for ya)!
TrainsRMe, you’re remembering that you need to leave room in the suitcases for the LHS stuff, right? [;)] Sounds like an enjoyable trip so far (and you haven’t even hit the LHS’es yet!).[tup]
Rob, what can I say about your new Cub Cadet, but… [tup][tup] [(-D] How are your geldings doing today?
Fergie, hope you get rain all weekend, so those 2-10-2’s will have a place to roam soon enough
in a SOUTHERN mug, please & thanks.
***Jeffrey, there are a few of those folks (in their 90’s) around here who we still see tending their gardens, working on big farm tractors, etc… That is the way to go, still doing what you enjoy right up until the end.
***Jim, just checked on the geldings this morning and all are doing well. Mini donkey is by far the most swollen, but he’s a tough little guy.
Plumbers came and did their thing on the build the other day. They will need to secure the outside faucet and redo 2 bathroom pipes (to fit the sink/cabinet we picked up yesterday). Also, the roofer came by and added the rubber boot thing (for bathroom vent pipe), and added flashing where he had only put “glue”. Thank goodness wife spotted daylight and told our contractor. What kind of roofer uses only glue where the roofs meet? Yikes! Other than that, all is well.
Wait on a funds transfer from bank into paypal to clear so I can pay for wife’s circus haul. Except for the few train items infront of the computer screen, everything is packed away waiting for the new train room.
Hope everyone is having a great day. [C):-)] Rob

Me thinks the Forum got Trolled yet once again!
Fergie
Yep, sure did.
[sigh]
[sigh]
Afternoon all
John
Yupper, because Bill (friend from Del.) is suppose to get his GP30 and we will need a record of the BIG SMILE. They are going to have a pig roast this year for the Sat night feast, can’t wait and Ryan said he is bringing some of his best as well. OOOOHHHHH YEAH!!! [dinner][:D][yeah]
Paul Will say HI to all and I hope you have a good turnout for your meet.
Fergie I don’t worry about my riding but I do watch as close and as much as possible for the 4 wheelers. It does make you more of a defensive rider (driver) because you learn to look and watch for anything that makes some kind of move. Thanks for the thought.
Good to hear that Teffy is doing alright.
Garry I am going to have to try to make it down that way for sure in the future for the ham fest because that is a special time of year for me. That is if I don’t forget like I have in the past.[%-)][D)]
That’s about it
Best to all on sick call and those recovering [angel][angel][angel]
Talk to you later
Duke
Yeah, Al’s bored again.
You’d think he’d have something better to do with his time…

Duke: Rumor has it that visiting mrr’ers to this area get a layout tour. Ask Inch.
Speaking of Inch, that was very bad news he posted about cancer patients in his familiy. I hope he can give us an update.
Pastor Philip: When you are ready for your new duties here in the diner, I will gladly spot my chapel car at the adjacent siding.
Jeff W. Sorry to learn about your loss of a neighbor.
Bring it on!
Thanks everyone. we’re 2-1, w/ 3 games left. if we win them, then we’re in the county championship! I finally got that defensive attitude. But now, we gotta start RESALLY playing because the last two teams we faced weren’t the best (RS-Monetta only had 20 kids, and the team we played yesterday had white or blue helmets and either blue, yellow, or white pants, lol.)
Hello all,
Fergi, welcome back hopefully you’re not land sick from being gone so long.
PC, congratulations on the new church position, now about this lottery ticket I’m going to buy I need a little help…Just kidding I hope it goes as well as you hope. Now des this make you PPC (Pastor PC?)
Tom, glad to hear you are on the mend and that kitty #2 is doing so well.
Glad to hear C&O fan is ok, PC you need to slap him for us and let him know next time he needs to check in with us! Oh and tell him happy birthday!
Jeff, sorry to hear about your neighbor, but it’s a good thing that he was well right up to the end.
Lee
