EMD Train of Tomorrow - Trenton NJ 1947

Here’s a shot of the Train of Tomorrow on display at Elizabeth NJ, October 1947, from my father.

Does anyone know where exactly in Elizabeth this was set up?

…I was present to see that train in 1947…not at the location in the photo but over in Kantner, Pennnsylvania…{a small village}, on a B&O coal branch close to our high school. Somehow, our school officials learned about it coming thru and we walked about a half mile to see it pass…It was the engines and 4 passenger cars with short domes. Exciting to say the least…

Apologies… it was Elizabeth, not Trenton.

Excerpt from the book ‘The Train of Tomorrow’ written by Ric Morgan in the diary section states

"October 7, 1947

…Elizabeth group board us here for the ride to Elizabeth, NJ. Arrive at the B&O freight yards at 12:40 PM. Showing to GM employees and railroad people from 3 to 9 PM. …"

That’s great… thanks you.

Now, the question, what did he mean by B&O Yards? Has to be CNJ’s Elizabethport, I think… I’m going to have do some research.
